The Remainders of War

A few days passed by and she hasn't spoken to me since her lips embraced mine. But Jeamie got closer to her and they chat all the time and both of us and ATACC don't know her name.

Even if he knew her face.

She just smiles when she sees me...and that creeps me out.

Should I talk to her? Should I initiate conversation? I found me asking myself as usual.

The fifth day dawned and I lost my patience. Me and ATACC devised a nearly foolproof plan to get her name.

A game of "Truth Or Dare". Yep, that's the best we came up with...don't judge us.

That dusk, I gathered all of us at the campfire which meant all four. Hoping all went well, we booted up ATACC to ask us random questions.

" WELCOME TO..." Drum sounds rolled from his body.

" TRUTH. OR. DARE!!" He bellowed. " Yay!" Jeamie clapped her hands and cheered.

" THIS IS A GAME WHERE YOU EITHER HAVE TO UTTER THE TRUTHFUL ANSWER OR ATTEMPT TO FULFILL A DARE!" Audience cheering sounds erupted from his speakers, the possibility of them being dead for centuries fairly high.

" LET'S START WITH, What. Is. Your. Name?!"

He pointed at Jeamie announcing," We'll start with this pretty little angel here!" He switched to his normal voice, beaming with pride.

Of course, she forgot her first name. She hasn't been living for a few centuries and the last time she used her name was about a year ago.

She looked at me in pain, her eyes pleading as I whispered it was Kytte.

" Jeamie Kytte!" She yelped adorably. " Then, let's move on to this lady!" ATACC pointed at her after announcing this.

" I choose dare" She said in a monotone. ATACC looked at me with an electronic look that probably meant:

" I'm done with my life. I give up......"

Probably that. I should add a face feature to him.

" That is the dare" I corrected her. " I'll say a truth then. If that's your rule." She looked at ATACC and me with a smirk on her face.

" Cause you gentlemen and robot know SO MUCH about it"
She said in a voice I remembered was probably sarcastic.

Yes, I know what that meant. And this was supposedly a popular game for girls in the first place. She looked at me with the same look Jeamie does, love. Yet I felt some selfishness in that.

" I love him" She winked at me. I was having a hunch that we'd know each other well but not this.

I'm done with this...someone throw me off a cliff.

And that's when I heard the faint growls and snarls.

Every once in a while, lions and leopards roam this side of the plains. And for those days, we had to stay cooped up in our cabin. We heard some roars and that's how we ran inside and how I failed majestically to get to know her name.

But I thanked the stars for sending a couple of murderous predators to save me.

Sarcastic of course. I'm not a complete doofus.

After I locked the hatch seal, we settled for the night. I woke up in the morning to see both Jeamie and the girl using my chest as stands for their legs.

Very good. How have the turned tables...

But I yelped a bit when the stupid robot sent a jolt across my palm.
