Jungkook's 18th birthday was nothing special really. He had spent the whole day with Taehyung and Jimin at a local amusement park. It was nice, just felt like the couple was on a date and Jungkook was just third wheeling, as always. But hey, at least he got presents. His parents, as usual, didn't even remember it was his birthday. You'd think a mother would remember the day she pushed a giant baby out of her vagina, but guess not. He was used to this though, so he wasn't really upset. He was an adult now anyway, he should get over his parent issues and move on with his life. Speaking of moving, Jungkook has been thinking of moving out of the house. With university coming up, he would be out of the house anyway. He just hopes his dorm roommate will be nice. He isn't even sure if Taehyung and Jimin will even go to the same university as him. Even if they did, they would be roommates with each other.

After university, Jungkook is thinking of buying his own apartment. Money isn't a problem since his filthy rich parents will give him anything just so they don't have to deal with him. And having him permanently out of the house is something they probably really want to happen. Jungkook doesn't feel bad taking money from them, they neglected their duties as parents anyway so this is the least they could do for him. He's gonna get a job after university anyway and soon it will be like they never even had a child.

Soon the universty applications started and Jungkook was going through every possible option for him. His top choices were in Seoul but he did also choose some here in Busan just to be safe. Taehyung and Jimin chose all the same universities as each other and few of them were the same as Jungkook's. Now they only had to wait and hope for the best.

Talking to a star is not something every 18 year old does. But Jungkook grew up with his star. Just him and his star, no one else. Untill Taehyung came along. Maybe when Jungkook was little he believed that the star could actually hear him and respond to him. But over the years as he grew up he also started to realize that it was only his childish dreams. Still he remained talking to the star. Maybe he didn't believe that the star could hear him, but he liked to pretend. Pretend that there is someone that listens to him and only him.

So once again like he has for the past god knows how many years, he sits next to his window, head in his palm, looking up at the night sky and his precious star.

"Hi Hope. I'm stressed again" he didn't believe that the star was responding to him anymore but he still liked that the star was twinkling.

"I just applied for universities and I'm scared I won't be accepted" he sighed "Taehyung and Jimin applied to a few the same ones as me... I hope they get in too... I just... I wish we all would get in the right universities for our futures, I would really like to be independent and make it on my own without my parents"

He looked down in his lap where he had the list of universities, some circeled some overlined.

"I just wish everything would turn out fine" He mumbled quietly, not even knowing himself what exactly he meant by everything and fine.

Last year of highschool went by quickly and acceptance letters for universities started coming. Jungkook was getting nervous. Everyone he knew already got their letters including Taehyung and Jimin. They got into the same university somewhere in Seoul. But Jungkook's letter still hadn't come.

So he waited, and waited a little more. Untill one day he was going through mail like usual and found a big ass thick letter. He instantly knew what it was and ran to his room to open it. He didn't even look what university it was. He was just happy he got accepted somewhere. And as he read on, he found out that somewhere was in Seoul. He sighed happily and layed down on his bed, closing his eyes.

"Maybe everything will be fine after all"
