Alexis sighed to herself as she walked into work. She felt sick and tired. She placed a hand on her stomach and sighed as she walked into the ambulance bay where she saw Iain who stood with lily. She looked to him and glared. She hated seeing him with her. She felt jealous and hated how lily acted as if she was the better woman and how he chose her. Lily had know idea that she and Iain had been fooling around and that she was pregnant with his baby. She looked to them and sighed as she walked into the ambulance bay and walked past them. She looked to them and they flirted away and sighed. She couldn't help but feel ignored by Iain. She ran her hands through her hair and sighed as she walked into the office. She was pissed with Iain and hated how he made her feel second best.

Later during her shift. She walked out into the ambulance bay and frowned as she saw Dixie who came back alone "where Iain?" She asked as Dixie looked to her and sighed "something happened, he found a dead baby and the mother" Dixie said as Alexis looked to him and smiled as she frowned. She felt bad for him "I'll go find him" she said as Dixie nodded "and be nice to him, he's had a hard morning that's all" Dixie said as Alexis looked to her and smiled.

Alexis walked into the ED and into the staffroom and smiled as she saw Iain who was sitting on the floor. She walked over and sat next to him and smiled "are you okay?" She asked as she placed a hand on top of his and smiled "I'm okay" he said as she looked to him and raised an eyebrow at him as he sighed to her and smiled "I looked at the baby and all I can think of was what if it was you and worse our baby, I just couldn't bare it if something happened to both of you" he said as she placed a hand on top of his and smiled "we are fine, we're not going anywhere. I promise" Alexis said to him as he looked to her and smiled as he placed a hand on her cheek as she smiled to him as he leant in and brushed his lips against hers as she kissed him back.

Later that day, Alexis stood in the ED as a shooting went off. She stood with Iain as he pulled her out of the way and out of the ED. She looked to him as she stood shaking "Are you okay?" He asked as she looked to him and started to cry "I was so scared" she said as he looked to her and smiled "it's okay, I've got you" he said as she looked to him and smiled as she hugged him. Iain held her close and smiled "I've got you and I've always got you" He said as she pulled away and sighed as she looked to him "I need you to chose" Alexis said as Iain frowned "what do you mean" he asked as she sighed "me or lily, I got be a third wheel anymore" Alexis said as he looked to her and nodded.
