Alexis sat next to Iain's bedside. He had hardly said a word since he had woke up. She sat running her bump as she looked to Iain

"is the baby okay" he asked as she nodded

"it is, do you want to talk to me yet" she asked as she leant forward in her seat and looked to him and sighed

"I don't know what to say, I don't know what you want me to say" Iain asked as she smiled

"I want to know why you didn't talk to me and why you thought that was the best way out as it isn't. Trying to end it all wasn't the best idea Iain" Alexis said as Iain looked to her and nodded

"I know lex, I do I just wasn't thinking and since the crash I have felt so down and useless. Sam died and you nearly died and part of me thought that I would be better off without you, that you wouldn't even better off without me. I felt as if it was the only way and I am sorry" he said as she looked to him and smiled. She placed a hand on top of his and smiled

"I'm sorry too, I'm sorry you felt as if you couldn't talk to me but I am here for you no matter what and I am going to help you though this. We're having a baby and she needs her daddy" Alexis said as Iain looked to her and smiled

"I know, I am sorry"

"you don't need to apologise, you need to get better and that means talking to someone" Alexis said as Iain nodded

Alexis walked into the staffroom and sighed as she ran a hand through her hair "how is Iain?" Ethan asked as he walked in. Alexis turned to face him and smiled

"he's okay, he needs to heal but mentally he needs help Ethan. He needs to see someone and he needs to talk and it's not just for himself but it's for the baby too. Our baby needs it's daddy and it scared me. It scares me how I could of lost him and I don't know what I would of done if I did" Alexis said as Ethan walked over to her and hugged her

"it will all be okay, he will get the help. He just saw no way out and I am sure that he is aware of what he has lost and will get some help. But I am worried over you, how are you handling it all" Ethan asked as Alexis looked to him and shrugged with tears in her eyes

"I could of lose Ethan" Alexis said as Ethan smiled

"it's okay, it's all going to be okay. He is fine and you are going to be there for him and you will make it work. I know that you will" Ethan said as Alexis looked to him and nodded.

She knew that he was right but she was just so scared

Alexis smiled as she walked into iains hospital room "I hear that your getting out, that's great" Alexis said

"yeah it is. I know that we have been under a lot of stress mainly from me and I am sorry but I want to prove to you that I want to make it work" he said as she looked to him and smiled as she took a hold of his hand

"we will make it work and you can make it up to me with all night feeds when this one comes around as we have to do what's right for this one" Alexis said as she rested a hand on her stomach as he looked to her and smiled

"we will I promise" Iain said but could he keep that promise?
