It had been a few weeks since Iain had tried to kill himself and since he had surgery. Alexis knew that she was doing her best for him, she wanted to be there for him and make it right.

She knew that they were having a baby together and that she knew that her baby needed Iain. Alexis walked into iains room and smiled "I hear your getting out later" she said as he looked to her and smiled

"finally" Iain said as Alexis sat next to him

"it's procedure for you to be in so long, you had a risky surgery" Alexis said as Iain looked to her and sighed

"you know that you can say it lex, you mean since I tried to kill myself" Iain said as she looked to him and frowned

"actually I didn't mean that, I meant you had been through a lot and yeah the attempt but it's going to be okay, I need you and so does our baby" Alexis said as Iain placed a hand on top of hers and smiled as he looked to her

"I'm so sorry, I should of been there for you"

"it's okay. Your on nappy duty once it is born. All that matters is that our baby and that you are okay" Alexis said as Iain looked to her and smiled

Alexis stood by the vending machine and smiled as she saw Robyn "how's Iain?" Robyn asked as Alexis placed a hand in her bump and smiled

"he has a long way to go but he has been through a lot, he has been through hell and back and I want to be there for him. But it's hard but he realises he could of lost the chance to be a dad and it wasn't planned but it is what he has been looking forward to and I know it's going to be okay, it has to be" Alexis said as Robyn smiled

"if anyone can make it work it's you and Iain besides You are the only one Iain will listen to half the time" Robyn said as Alexis looked to her and smiled

"well the fact that I am pregnant and the fact that I sleep with him helps, how's Charlotte?" Alexis asked

"she's good. She can't wait for you to have the baby. She wants a little friend" Robyn said as Alexis looked to her and chuckled.

Alexis took a bite of her chocolate bar and sighed "I better go and see how the impossible patient is. I may try convince them to keep him in" Alexis said as she walked off down the hallway

Alexis smiled as she pushed Iain to the taxi in his wheelchair and looked to him and smiled

"before we go anywhere, are you sure your okay as I can't go through it again not when I'm having your child" Alexis said as Iain took a hold of her hand and smiled as he looked to her and

"I am fine and I mean it, it's not going to be easy but I'll get through it besides I'm going to be a dad soon and my baby needs me" Iain said as Alexis looked to him and smiled knowing it wasn't going to be easy but that they had to make it work
