This is a piece of writing from when SkyFire first defeated Draken at age 4000, So yay! a piece of history!
SkyFire looked at the Shadow Creature infested sky. The sheer amount of the demons unnerved her. Her castle was warded against the wretches so there was little worry for the High nobles. It wasn't the High nobles and the royal guard she was worried about though. There were many people and creatures who were unable to defend themselves. She looked at the magic that kept the Demons from invading. It wouldn't hold up for much longer, There had to be something she could do.
SkyFire took action. Lifting her wings, letting the wind pick her up, She started flying towards the fight. It really was no place for a queen to be, but she was one of the best. Her observations told her that this fight would be the last. It was a matter of time before the leader himself would show. She felt something behind her. Whirling around, she was face to face with a Shadow Creature. She couldn't do much before the thing slashed it's claws across her face, Reminding her of when her father blinded her.
She Hissed in pain and breathed a plume of Spirit-Fire at the thing. It recoiled and started disintegrating. She breathed another flame, It completely disappeared without a trace. She didn't have time to check the reopened wound, She had to find Draken and Kill him so this could be over.
She didn't particularly mind the demon, It was just that he was being controlled by one of his own creations. It twisted his mind and mentally tortured him until he was too far gone for his mind to be salvaged. She almost felt sympathy for him. Almost. There was nothing she wanted more than revenge. Revenge for her older sisters, Her mother. She would stop at just about nothing to get that.
SkyFire found him in a matter of minutes, Surrounded by his creations. She hissed, knowing that those were his strongest units. She mentally reached out to her most elite units. Come to me, I will need you help with this... It was a matter of moments before her personal guards were at her side. She gestured towards the Shadow Creatures surrounding their king. It was all she needed to do, the four guards charged at them.
She followed close behind, Waiting for the demons to scatter before confronting their king, Draken."Ahem," SkyFire plucked her trident hairpin from her tangled hair. She spun it around in her hand, a glow enveloped her hand, and when she stopped spinning it, She held a large trident. Her goddess weapon.
Draken Smirked at the magic. "Sweet sweet Skiafray," He spoke, His voice surprisingly gentle for someone of his nature, "It's about time We fight for real," He was in his physical form. He bared his bleach white teeth at her, His attempt at a smile.
Skyfire Growled, "Don't call me that," She struck with her trident stabbing it at him with deadly precision. It scratched his arm, just barely, but he still recoiled. "It hurts, Doesn't it?" There was a maniacal grin on her face, She felt as if she were going to lose herself. Her teeth were slightly translucent, Glowing violet with power. "Now," Her voice was dangerously low, "You will know pain," She held eye contact.
She struck faster than lightning, Draken barely dodged. He countered with his own weapon. A spear of Demon's Bane magic. The two weapons clashed together as Skyfire blocked. A metal screech rang out. The shadow army was almost gone, thanks to her guards, But all fighting had ceased to watch the King and Queen go at it.
SkyFire beat her wings forward, propelling her backwards. Draken did the same. The two Gods held their weapons on their shoulders. Draken threw his spear, It seemed to be attached with Thread made of shadow. Skyfire blocked it with relative ease by spinning her Trident, The spear just bounced off. Draken was no longer in front of her. She realized too late when she felt the stabbing pain in her shoulder. She teleported a few feet away, still in the air.
Whirling around, the lashed blindly with her trident, slicing through his torso. It was a shallow cut, but it still dealt a lot of pain. She seen him recoil, taking the momentary opening, she stabbed her trident at him. He barely avoided the blow. "Damn," He snarled at her.
He attempted to stab her again, She dodged by teleporting an inch out of reach. She decided to keep up this game of dodging. She was going to wear down the demon before she did her real damage. Every moment or so she would gasp for a little extra air, Building up for her next breath attack.
Draken landed another blow on her, stabbing her through the heart. Pain rippled through her body, but she refused to drop from the sky. The wound would've been deadly had she not been immortal. She realized her own wingbeats were slowing. The wound on her shoulder taking effect. She had to release her breath attack now.
She Faced Draken, Making Eye contact. "What's wrong, Skiafray? Something slowing you down?" He smiled, his expression full of Malice. Skyfire didn't respond, instead, she lowered her head and inhaled deeply. She looked at him again, her maw wide open, throat glowing a mix of Violet and blue. The expression on Draken's face was one of fear now.
A blue beam came from her maw. The recoil sending her back a few meters. It made contact with Draken, His screams echoed throughout the sky. When she finally ran out of breath, the beam dissipated. Absolute silence other than the wingbeats of the dracos were all that was heard. Skyfire looked at the husk that hovered in the air in front of her. The shadow creature possessing him disintegrated first. The body that was left looked at her.
Thank you. I beg for your forgiveness in the afterlife. Please, I didn't mean for any of this to happen..... The body belonged was what he looked like before he got possessed. The scales on his body were silver, His hair was an iridescent bright teal. His long, whip-like Tail wound around him as he dissipated into nothingness. You know as well as I do.... I will return.... as.... myself....
His final thoughts sent a shiver down SkyFire's spine. Her left wing went numb, then limp. She found herself plummeting to the ground, thousands of meters below her. It all went dark as she passed out. She had finally done it...... She killed Draken, It only took her four thousand years. A feeling of triumph rippled through her body......... It felt unreal....
Total word count(Not counting intro): 1100 words.
