Taehyung's Perspective
As I sat by myself in the interrogation room, eyes pondering over the bleak brick walls and the mirror that we all know isn't a mirror, I couldn't help but question why I saw Ona here in the police station. To be honest, I was more than happy, my heart had basically skipped over 50 beats when I saw her brown eyes staring back at me. But I didn't want her seeing me like that, cuffed and looking like a criminal. I just hoped she would stay away until this was all over.
I almost jumped out of my skin as the creaking from the metal door being opened was loud. Jackson and Daesung waltzed in, a ghost of a smile on the cons face to make up for the smug glint in his eyes that were covered.
I had many questions as to what went down outside of the room, but I kept my mouth shut as they sat down at the table with me. It also made me wonder where B went.
"Tae, it's good to see you," Jackson said to me. All I did was nod, not sure how to approach the matter. "Daesung has filled me in on your plan."
I furrowed my brow as I glanced over at the man in the suit, but he kept his face straightforward. "I don't think I understand." I said. Truly, I didn't.
"Well," Jackson chuckled. leaning back and glancing at me. "I know you're innocent. I don't need a psychic to tell me that. Plus, Ona and your friends have been here to see me and have made sure to prove you don't have a part in any of this." I almost wanted to scream with happiness at the thought of my friends wanting to help me. It made me miss them more than words can describe. Then my mind went back to Ona's appearance and I questioned it once more.
"That's the best news I could hear," I nodded. "But...I don't think it would help much."
"Correct," Daesung finally chimed in and he pulled out a toothpick from his jacket pocket, unwrapped it and placed it in between his teeth. He chewed on it. "A bunch of young kids pressing the police would just make things more worse, no matter how touching it is. We need to do dirty work. We need to push back at Mr. Kim."
As Daesung said that, I glanced up at the cameras in the room and to the fake mirror on the side of us. Jackson must have seen me watching them as he chuckled and waved his hand. "Don't worry. I have my team that we can trust keeping all of this information in. We wouldn't want the corrupted cops to stop us," He then cleared his throat and moved forward to lean against the table, his eyes set more serious. "Your father is a very powerful man and it will take everything we got to bring him down. A few little pleading words aren't going to do it. Daesung and I were talking in the back room and it has been decided that we need to place a mole."
I knew he wasn't talking of the fuzzy, weird looking creatures that dug holes in the ground. He wanted to shove someone into the dark world my father operated. If I remembered correctly, my father was always talking to random men in dark suits, some looking very dangerous and I once heard him talking on the phone about 'taking extra precautions' and something else that sounded like a Dr. Evil plan from Austin Powers. He wouldn't just keep things easily accessible.
"That won't be easy." I said.
"Well, darling, we aren't stupid," Daesung laughed, leaning his head back in amusement, his hair slipping a bit off his forehead to show the darkest of eyes. "I ran that place before his old ass claimed my throne." He sighed.
"Yeah, but since then, he's updated. He fired people that were loyal to you and changed everything. It won't be the same. He will make sure no one from the past disrupts his business and that everything goes his way." I didn't know much about my father's business, well, enough to know some of the people or things that went down.
