So sorry I took so long to write. I've been in Australia for about a month and I have barely had any time to myself. After this chapter, time is going to speed up in this universe, so just as a heads up. Hope you guys enjoy!! (Location for most of the chapter is on the right)
"He said what?!" I almost spit the soda I had in my mouth on Jayna's face. Thank god I didn't, because she's wearing white and my head would end up in the trees. Caroline's face is almost the same as mine, like we were knocked upside the head with a rock.
"He asked me to go out with him and I said yes." Jayna repeated again, a little annoyed at our shocked gestures. Of course we have a right to be surprised, Jayna is not the type of girl to say yes to a guy after one date, so this must be really serious.
After Jayna flipped out on Brad for messing with Sally, we went to the deli near the park to get some snacks before we actually went to the park. I needed junk foods to keep me distracted. I'm still thinking about Craig, even though on the way to the park they all said he doesn't deserve me. At this point, we're both in the wrong, and instead of letting it go I'm like a bitter old man.
So to keep my mind busy, I decided to switch the conversation and see how Jayna and Dennis were, and then that bomb came out of her mouth.
"How long were you planning to keep this a secret?!" Caroline screams, and Brad is this close to dumping his sandwich in her hair if she doesn't keep quiet. I have a feeling Caroline may have a restraining order from the public parts of the town if she keeps that up, but the jury is still out on that.
"This happened yesterday, so I would've told you during the weekend. I actually texted Mike about it last night, but he decided to be Mr. Missing In Action Man." I give her a sarcastic French laugh to show how funny I find that nickname. "I don't know, I just felt something between us. I don't know how to explain it."
Brad jumps in at this point. "Are you sure it was just a feeling or were you feeling on something. I heard from one of the girls I got with that he had a big one." Brad winks at me, and I shudder at the thought. I don't find him attractive, just because he's bi and I'm gay doesn't mean we'll ever hook up! It doesn't work that way, and I hope it doesn't work that way.
I roll my eyes back at him. "Just so you know, you'll never have to worry about me getting with him. Bradhas a better chance at that than I do." He gets that weird look on his face, like he doesn't understand what we're talking about.
"What's that supposed to mean? I'm not gay." He says defensively.
"You don't have to be gay, but you can be curious or whatever. I think there's a new word for it. Heteroflexible I think. Basically you're straight, but stuff happens." Caroline interjects.
"You did kiss me a few weeks ago. There was also that incident a few weeks before that, and when I first told you I was gay you wouldn't shut up after I told you you weren't my type." I explain.
"HE KISSED YOU?!" Caroline gets jumpy, and I know she's gonna want details. This one's for you Brad boy.
