His point of view.

'Lukey, I like it when you sing to me.' Fran chirped in the backseat. I watched her through the rear view mirror.

She twisted her curly golden locks with her tiny little fingers. She watched attentively out of the window and giggled every now and again.

'What would you like me to sing baby?' I question turning the radio now completely off.

'The one you always sing to me silly!' She bounces in her car seat.

'Anything for you sassy pants.' I say as she takes and makes the name with pride snapping her fingers while attempting to pout, but looks more of a frown. I chuckle towards her attitude.

I clear my throat and start humming the start of the song and then the words flow.

'She was a beautiful princess gifted with everything in the world she desired,

But he was just a lower class boy, nothing to offer to the princess who he admired.

Little did he know the princess wanted nothing more than true love than riches and expense,

She didn't care about the fancy dresses or jewellery for when she met the boy it just made sense,'

I sang slowly and peeked every once and a while to check on Fran.

By now she had her eyelids just about closed and her mouth a gaped open.

She was so adorable.

My older brother Ben let me look after his beautiful daughter Fran today, I would've stolen her even if he had've said no.

I want Fran to know that I would spoil my princess niece anyday.

Fran reminds me much of a younger girl version of myself. She loves music, she's super shy and awkward around new people, which I find adorable because she always clings behind legs but once you spend time with her, she's a nutter.

She basically a younger sister I never had.

We got to the city bridge and I hesitantly slowed down.

The skies were getting darker and it looked like it might rain so I put on the wind screen wiper slowly.

And I swear out of thin air a dodgy red car came out of nowhere, their headlights blinded my sight and made me swerve the slightest but I quickly got back into the lines.

Yet the car in front was swerving like crazy. Like a drunk driver or something and it almost looked like he was going to hit ours or slam in front.

And that's when I heard Fran scream.

'Lukey!'

Smash.
