Her Point of View.
'Miss Forward, the answer please?' My black converse make a loud squeaking sound as I leave my pool of drool sitting on my desk, I was so tired from last night I had struggled to stay awake all of first period.
Some of the students focus had now turned to me but luckily the others snicker jokes to each other desk to desk never glancing at me, showing no interest in me, thank goodness.
I recognise my friend Mikey in the second row from the front. He looked at me and mouthed me words, that made absolute nonsense to me. I tried to word it out in my head, but nothing came.
'Uh, um. Well the answer obviously is.' I state nervously.
The teacher raises her eyebrows intrigued for my answer. She just can't wait to see me fail. I felt dominated for what felt like a good minute as her eyebrow game kept a strong hold until I finally broke.
'The answer would be much more easier to tell if I knew the question.' I say ashamed that I hadn't been listening at the slightest.
The teacher nods her head in disappointment, as if she didn't see it coming. Then went on with the class.
Intrigued as such was Mrs Prier occupying us with her teaching, she focused on her whiteboard the whole time like it was the first time ever hearing such fascinating new information. Her passion for this class was extremely cute, as snobby as she could be, she made me happy 87% of the time. Her babble talking dragged on for what felt like forever, yet it was like a comforting silence that I could listen to forever, I dizzily watched the clock watching the minutes tick by. I wasn't counting down of how much longer we had in class but it distracted me from my recent thoughts. I reach into my brown khaki rough textured extreme expressive bag that I bought at the Two Door Cinema Club concert, which can I say was totally worth it. Badges of random quotes and bands logo's patterned the front but my all time favourite was the one I got from the Paramore concert that I went to with my brother Ethan.
I loved it because it reminded me of him. The whole night. The best night ever. I had been sad all week because I had been having a massive fight with mum, I had tried my best to assuage the situation, but it usually just made it worse. Knowing my brother always blissful and cheery he persuaded me into getting out for the night, which involved absconding, seeing as I was grounded at the time. The rebellion that took over was exhilarating, my adrenaline on a high. Ethan attempted cheering me up the whole ride there, which definitely worked, Ethan always knew how to cheer me up. He told me that he loved watching me let go of all of my problems, that every once a full moon the usual uptight restless me finally gives in and sparks freeness and pure happiness. He told me tonight was one of those moments.
I smiled at the memory still gazing at the bag, then I intentionally reach inside and pull a notepad out from it.
I steal a pen from the desk beside me for the student had fallen completely asleep. I tapped the pen against the desk rhythmically trying to think of what words to write as I opened to a blank page.
'Hiking at dawn than pizza?' I rip my page out dramatically drawing some unintentional attention towards me.
I scrunch the paper slowly into the smallest ball I could do then bit my tongue nervous, hopefully no one would dog on me. I pull my hand back freely and aim as well as I can towards the white ruffled boys hair.
Score.
I watched as Mikey rubbed his head 'awe'ing which released a giggle out of me. He turned around flipping me off then finally opened the note. A grin spread across his face as he display fully gave me the 'thumbs up'. I mimicked him returning another thumbs up. Interrupting the intense thumbs up game Mikey and I had going on, the bell sound rang in my ears.
Kids sprung from their desks sprinting to get home or wherever they were to go after school. Me on the other hand slowly shoved my text book and notepad back into my favourite side shouldered bag. Mikey followed me outside the classroom to our lockers.
'Today in P.E our crack head substitute teacher tried to sell us drugs, what the f-' I laughed at Mikeys entertaining story, Mikey and I had made it a thing that everytime after school on our walk home (seeing as we lived a block away from each other) we would share the 'story of the day' which included the most eventful thing that had happened on that day, Mikey always made me explode in laughter. But before he could finish his sentence, a person full on ran into me.
'Awe!' He cursed, I already recognised the voice. His cheeky smile met mine in a second. 'Gracey!' Ashton said as he pulled me into a hug. I hugged back, feeling quite comfortable. Michael looked just as confused as the boy standing next to hugging Ashton did, Luke.
Luke's mouth turned into a slight smile, as I returned one. He wore a black tee that read 'sir sly' with a red flannelette over with ripped black jeans and surprisingly black vans, I didn't picture Luke as one to follow the crowd, yet I don't know him at all, I mean when I first met Mikey, I thought he was the creepiest person ever who was probably taking as much as he sold if you know what I mean, but I found that he was just a cute cuddly bear with the warmest heart ever!
Luke grabbed out his iPhone 5 after hearing a 'buzzing' text sound, his eyes squinted reading the text and his face slightly tightened.
He patted Ashton on the back and smiled nicely. 'I'll see you later.' He said all though his ocean blue eyes showed as though he was trying to send through a message which obviously Ashton understood because he nodded slowly after whispering something to him.
He smiled at me once again as he slowly passed without leaving a 'bye' anyway. He must just be a really shy person?
'What are you guys up to?' Ashton asked fixing his what looked like in the bright blinding sun dusty blonde hair. Now that I had more time to examine Ashton's face, I found his features certainly hot and I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed this before. His smile was so mesmerising, I wouldn't get tired of seeing that a lot more often, that's for sure. 'Because do you guys mind if I tag along? I don't really have anything else to do.' He asked politely and, how could we say no? I glanced sideways at Michael and he seemed annoyed that Ashton had interrupted his amazing 'story telling'. His eyes read anger everywhere as well as his body posture statues into a arm cross. I smirked playfully.
Michael spat, 'we're hiking the Blue Mountains, I don't think you could survive that if you trie- .'
'What Mikey is trying to say is, he would love you to come.' I shove Michael annoyed while turning back to Ashton smiling.
'Cool.' He said easily as Michael took the first move to leave storming off.
Ashton walked very closely beside me and softly said, 'your boyfriends pretty protective of you.' He scoffed while getting one out of me as well.
'He is not my boyfriend.' I stated making that very very clear.
He shrugs. 'My bad.' I watch as Ashton's grey converse fasten up as he walks up to Michael and starts of what could turn into a riot, 'we both know I could beat you any day.' He smirks as Michael laughs sarcastically rolling his eyes upwards.
'Its on.'
Oh man, here we go.
