Wet grounds, light grey clouds

9:00 pm.

Abree's POV

It's been almost a five hours since Bryan basically sold me to Chaz.

When we got to the airport I really started second guessing things. The car ride was awkward, and I even partially met Chaz's mom. That whole ordeal was strange.

A part of me wants to talk to Dimitri, but remembering what he did makes my skin crawl.

I just wish I had more answers.

When Chaz and I left the diner everything was going fine, until we arrived at the airport.

~Flashback until present time~

"Deal." Bryan says looking down at me with this evil.. satisfied stare.

I turn to Chaz in shock laughing in disbelief. Did he really just buy me? "Did you just, buy me?"

He looks at me, then back to Bryan ignoring my question.

"Nice doing business with you. Call me when Hayden 'kills you.' "He says laughing while using air quotation marks.

"Chaz. Answer my question."

Bryan leaves the diner with his head held high.

The fuck?

"Chill Kit-Kat, you're safe now."

I pinch the bridge of my nose in disbelief. Wow Abree, you've been sold 2 times now. Nice way to live your dream.

"It was the least I could do, I mean seriously, it was."

"Thanks, I guess.. you've changed a little." I say still watching his body language.

"Only for the good baby. It's getting late, and I don't think you wanna be here when Dimitri comes?"

"Don't call me baby, and no I don't but I'm fine.. I'll just go back to my mom's house- wait.. how do you know Dimitri?" I back up looking at him suspiciously. "Tell me what's going on."

"Chill Bree, my dad use to work with him. Calm down.. I told you I'm not the same person."

I knit my eyebrows not believing him, "Mhmm.. work with him how?"

"Bree," Chaz laughs rolling his eyes, he seems so playful and full of life.. it's low key bugging me out.

"I'm serious, tell me."

"Fine Ms. Demand a lot, my dad helped him with across US boarders business type tingz.."

I nod my head puzzled.. I really don't know what to think of this persona from Chaz.. it's so different, "Okay, but like I said I'll just go back to my mom's house."

"Go to your mom's house?? That's the first place Dimitri will be looking for you, plus your mother.. you know how she is.."

"Don't remind me, I roll my eyes taking a seat in the booth again. "And Dimitri just sold me.. do you really think he's gonna come looking for me?" I lazily ask.

Chaz shakes his head at me as if I'm being stupid, "Trust me, Dimitri is gonna look for you it's this thing he does.. this manipulative thing, I've seen him do it with other girls."
