"Promise me, that you'll stay away from that family and that boy. That awful south side family." A woman told her young daughter, the young girl nodded her head not understanding what her mother was telling her.

"may I ask why?" The twelve year old girl asked "It is not important, just promise me you will" Her mother said to her "okay mama, I will" the girl said smiling.

~5 years later~

Camila stood out on her balcony looking out at the town letting out a small sigh "Mila, where are you?" she heard the sound of her mother's voice "you better be ready for school" she said. "I am, I promise!" the young cuban shouted.

She stood outside for a few more seconds looking at the town she lived in, people leaving their homes getting ready for work and school. They said good morning to one another as they past each other on the side of street.

Everyone had good manners around here, the north side of town was less modern than the south side. It looked like the town of Moon Falls, named after the founder Henry Luna, never left the 1950s.

The houses looked older, but it was beautiful. Instead of big chain stores or drugstores, there were shops owned by the town's people. There wasn't any big shopping center mostly small vintages shops. There was even still working telephone booths.

The south side of the town was more modern, big buildings, big house, mansions. Everything was money to those people, they needed to show it off to everyone. It wasn't hard earned money, it was old money, money that had been in their families for years. You grow up rich, you're going to stay rich.

Not many people would greet you when they saw you, it was more of a glare. On that side, you needed to dress nicely or have some sort of designer clothing. But not everyone on that side of town was like that.

Everyone wondered why the two different side of town were so different. Legend had it that the founder of this big town didn't find it alone. He came here with a friend.

They found the town and decided to go their separate ways. The friend took the south making it more modern and stylish, while the founder took the north making it more old school.

Camila ran back into her bedroom and started getting ready for school.

She quickly threw on the dress that was placed on her bed, then pulled on her shoes. Camila stood in the mirror looking at the outfit she was wearing, she was wearing a light pink dress that stopped about an inch above her knees.

It had short sleeves, a collar and a bow on the side of the dress. The dress was paired with black Mary jane shoes. Her dark hair past her shoulders and her bangs rested on her forehead, she wore minimal makeup.

"Camila?" Her mother asked entering the room "Yes?" Camila answered turning around "come on, your cousin, Leonardo, is waiting for you" She told her daughter "okay" the young cuban replied grabbing her bag and leaving the room.

"How's my favorite cousin?" Camila asked once she walked outside "what do you want?" Leo asked "nothing" she replied. "I know you want something, just tell me" the older Cuban said.

"There's this Halloween party tonight" Camila started as they walked down the streets. "Where is it?" He asked "the Mendes mansion."

"Camila! Are you insane!" Leo shouted at his younger cousin "you know you're not aloud near that family." He told the girl "I know, but it isn't fair, nobody should tell me who I should be near."

"It's not like they are bad people." She protested "please" she begged "no" he answered. "Please" Camila said again standing in front of him, stopping him from walking. "I'll think about it, okay!" He said giving him.

She smiled and walked into the building in front of them.

"Mila!" Someone shouted running up to the Cuban "Ariana!" Camila said smiling giving her friend a hug. "You coming to the Halloween party?" The Italian asked "you already know the answer" Camila replied.

"I don't why your family hates the Mendes family, anyways it's not like they know what you look like." Ariana said

"They live in the south end of town we live in the north." The young Italian explained "a better answer to stay away then, south side people can tell when anyone is from the north side!" The brunette told her best friend.

"Look at our outfits, we look like 1950 housewives" She added pointing to the clothing they were wearing. Both dressed in a swing dress inspired by that decade. "Then wear something else, anyways it just means we are wifey material." Ariana replied with a small giggle.

Camila couldn't help, but smile at her friend. "Come on class is about to begin, wifey" the two laughed at the new nickname they had given each other.

The bell rang meaning that school was finally over, Camila walked down the hallway with her books pressed against her chest trying not to run into anyone. Everyone rushed out of the building wanting to get their after school activities started.

People spoke about the party that was happening in the Mendes mansion tonight, everyone was going, but Camila. "Hey" the tiny brunette turned around once she heard a voice behind her.

"Hi, Logan" She said looking at the brown haired boy. Logan Peters, one of the handsomest boys at north high. His parents owned a law firm in Moon Falls, a friend of the Cabello family.

The two families wanted the teenagers to get together, but Camila didn't feel the same way Logan did. "Are you doing anything tonight?" The boy asked.

"Yeah, I'm going out with my cousin" Camila lied, it wasn't a full lie. She didn't know how to let him down gently.

"Oh, are you going to the Halloween party in the south?" Logan asked "are you?" She asked him wanting to know, if she said yes he would want to see her there.

"You wouldn't catch me alive at the Mendes House." He replied laughing at the questions "and why is that?" Camila asked beginning to walk away as he followed. "Shawn Mendes, thinks just because he's rich he can do whatever he wants." Logan answered

"Have you met his?" The young Cuban asked "no" he said "then you can't judge the boy." With that Camila walked away from the Peter's boy.

Camila walked out of school upset, why did everyone judge this family before they met them? It wasn't right, not all rumors are true.

"We are going to that party, okay." Camila said to her cousin.
