Sam: Sam is affectionate. Although he never grew up with a mother, living motel to motel without so much as a pat on the back from his father, Sam likes to show his affection physically. He doesn't even give it a second thought. He'll take your hand while you're walking together to grab some burgers down the street to bring back to the motel. He'll stand behind you, letting his hands rest lightly on your hips while you wait in line. He holds your hand across the library table while the two of you do research on the lore of whatever monster of the week you're hunting. You smiled at him once, as he took your hand, and he asked you why. You shrugged and gave his hand a squeeze and he brought them to his face, placing a kiss to your knuckles with a smile.

——————————————— Dean: Dean is someone who wants to be sure of you. He wants to have extra proof that you're beside him, that you're alright and that, maybe most importantly, you're where you want to be. He's got it in his head that everyone leaves him, and deep down, in some secret place he doesn't want to admit exists, he's scared you're going to figure that out someday, too. He holds your hand in the Impala as he drives, keeping it like a secret between the two of you as Sam sleeps on in the backseat. He rushes to be near you again if you've been separated on a hunt by a creature. He holds your hand at night, after that same hunt, no matter how well or smoothly it went. His mind thinks of every possibility you might have been lost to him and so he holds onto you, while he can, as tightly as his heart will allow.

—————————————— Cas: Cas is new to all of this. Physical affection, public displays of romance–hell, romance at all. But he likes it. He falls into it with a sort of innocent gusto, letting all the experiences overwhelm him. He tests the waters with you, placing a kiss on your cheek while you're waiting in line to buy him a new suit to go undercover. He holds your hand in his as the two of you sit outside a building during a stake out. He likes to watch the way you respond, the way your smile lights you up at his touch. But mostly, he enjoys holding your hand at night when the quiet and darkness of the end of the day have washed over you. He finds your hand on top of the soft comforter, lying in the bed he doesn't need, and twines his fingers with yours,letting his touch do what his words can't yet.
