*5 years later*
* August 1950*I often thought about mother and Margot, especially on my 20th birthday. In these 5 years Peter has supported me, I published some books and one of them is a best-seller.
We went to a restaurant, just like we do every weekend, as we were walking on Magere Brug he stopped me.
"Do you remember when we kissed for the first time here ? And when we confessed our love here ?"
"Of course I remember" I answered as I thought of those beautiful moments.
"I want to make another memory here, Anne"
I was confused, "What are you talking about ?"
Peter got down on one knee, took out a red box out of his coat.
"Anneliese Marie Frank, will you marry me?"
I felt a tear of happiness roll down my cheek.
"Yes, I will"
Peter put the ring on my finger and kissed me tenderly, I couldn't wait for him to be my husband and to spend the rest of my life with him.
