[yoongi's pov; apartment complex; monday]

i heard a clicking sound too familiar to me.. it was the click of a camera.

a deadly silence grew as i tried to see where the sound had been coming from.

but all i could see was faded darkness, as the moonlight softly outlined the bushes and trees in the area.

luckily, the moonlight touched a dark silhouette; a person in a hoodie. when i noticed them, they lowered their head and disappeared as if i wasn't supposed to see them at all.

strange.

i shrugged, turning back to the stairs and walking forward. after a dozen of steps, i reached the door of my apartment.

as i was pulling out the keys from my pocket, the door knob moved, opening the dark door and revealing my roommate, surprisingly, not in pyjamas, but in a full-on outfit.

he usually wears comfy clothes at home...

a thought corrupted my mind, connecting what happened a minute ago with the camera sound but i brushed it off.

i'll figure it out.

"jesus, where have you been?" he exclaimed in satisfaction, taking the bag from my hand and leaving me confused.

"amen, i ain't jesus but i'm back" i said, walking inside and locking the door behind me.

"i thought i was gonna have to starve" jungkook continued, walking away to the kitchen to unpack everything, "like, come on, it's 10 o'clock already and we haven't even eaten together yet and i-"

"oh, poor thing! as if you weren't out and about before coming home and didn't buy anything out of laziness..." i scoffed, "what's with the outfit anyways? i thought your home aesthetic is wearing pyjamas" i added, walking to the kitchen with my arms crossed, and waiting for an explanation.

"it is but i was about to go out and buy food myself just now because you weren't coming home. but thanks for remembering that i still exist" jungkook said in a childlike voice, putting stuff away into the fridge.

as i looked back at him putting away the food, he suddenly froze, with a bottle of milk in his hand.

"hold up... where the hell were you anyways?" he asked, turning to me.

good job, yoongi. you didn't think this question over, did you?

"i was... i was in the library and didn't see how much time had passed, so that's why i went shopping later than usual" i answered as smoothly as possible.

i hate this. i felt bad for lying.

"oh, no wonder... you probably fell asleep like always" jungkook mumbled, closing the fridge and moving back to see what's left in the bag.

thank god, he took the bait.

"and don't worry, i'll never forget your existence. look at the bottom of the bag" i said, scratching my head and coughing.

a sweet smile crept up jungkook's lips, as he pulled out a little bag of chips.

"they only sell this at one convenience store and you really-" he mumbled excitedly, as his shy eyes looked at me with greatfulness. "thanks, i honestly needed this right now".

i walked up to the counter, sitting down on one of the stools, clasping my hands together.

"how come? something happened?" i asked, curious about my brown-eyed buddy's previous statement.
