A prophecy love (a peter pevensie love story)

Chapter 9

We all stood at the front of the crowd as a dwarf stepped forward calling

"Jadis, the queen of narnia" and I rolled my eyes that after all these years, she was still so dramatic n her entrances. Dad and Kian were sat on their hind legs, not looking bothered at all and I decided to step in front of Edmund so that she didn't notice him and I looked at Arabella and she nodded in a thanks and I nodded back. She was carried in on a throne that was carried by 4 creatures and I saw all the pevensies, especially Edmund look at her in panic. The creatures put her down and she stood up in her massive padded dress and looked at Aslan and Kian sharply. She walked forward a few steps and then Edmund lightly pushed me towards peter so that he could face the witch that gave him so much torment and Ian was right beside him, glaring at her but I could tell, from being his twin, that he was terrified of her because she took him when we were only children and evie was only a baby at the time

"you have 2 traitors in your mist, Aslan and Kian" she said and I looked at Kian in shock while he looked at me and mouthed 'I'm sorry, please don't hate me' I shook my head a little and turned back to the witch

"their offence was not against you" Kian said boldly, defending Edmund, who he had grown quite accustomed to

"have you forgotten the laws on witch narnia was built?" She asked as if dad and Kian were dumb and dad therefore roared loudly

"don't recite the deep magic to us witch, we were there when it was written" dad said sharply

"then you'll remember well that every traitor belongs to me, their blood is my property" she said as a matter of fact and I stood in front of him and my eyes glowed red as Arabella's eyes glowed green and peter unsheathed his sword

"try and take him then" peter said as the witch looked at all three of us then looked back at peter

"do really think the mere force will deny me my right, little king" she said and looked at him

"but our magic is not mere force witch, therefore you will not have them, especially Edmund because I won't let you" I said and she looked at me and then her face turned a bit scared that I actually had my powers now

"but that may not last long because you have too many weaknesses, little girl" she said and I glared at her then one of her men started to choke behind her and she turned around and looked at him and then she looked at me with pure shock written over my face, thinking I wasn't going to be brave.

Her soldier kept on choking and I glared harder as everyone looked at the sky in shock because my magic was causing a thunderstorm to start and then I heard

"enough daughter, it is no worth it. Save it for something else" I stopped slightly then let go completely as her soldier started to breath on the floor, trying to get oxygen back into his system

"Aslan know that if I don't have my blood like the law demands, all of narnia will be overturned and and perished in fire and water" She then turned sharply to Edmund and Ian, pointing one of her pale fingers at them

"those boys will die! On the stone table, as does tradition" she said and Edmund looked at everyone, especially Arabella, petrified out of his mind and Ian looked like he knew that it was coming but still looked at me sadly

"you dare not refuse me" she said as she looked at dad and Kian

"Oh it's simple Jadis, we will refuse you because you are not the queen of narnia, you never have been, nor will you ever be. You can turn as many people and animals into stone as you want but you'll never be queen cause everyone knows what you're doing and they are not impressed" I said and walked towards her and she did the same until we was inches from each other and we just glared at each other and then she went to raise her staff but I made sure it stayed where it was with my magic

"enough" dad called out and him and Kian looked at each other then looked at her

"we will speak with you alone" Kian said as she gave me one final glare and then walked up the steps and they then. all walked inside the large tent at the end of the camp and I walked back over to peter and he just held me to calm me down. After about 5 minutes I knew they were going to be a while so I grabbed peters hand and sat us both down on the grass and soon everyone joined us, I then put peters head on my lap

"hey Darcey?" Peter asked and I hummed and looked at him

"do you think that after all this blows over, would you like to go for a walk in the woods sometime? Because it looks all so beautiful and I want to share that experience with you but only if you don't mind" peter asked nervously and I looked down at him and smiled at him

"of course peter, I would love to" I said and he smiled. Susan then sat behind me then asked if she could put my hair into French plaits and I gladly let her. By the time she was done, everyone started to stand up again and then the witch walked out of the tent dramatically again and walked down the stone steps and looked at Edmund and Ian, then looked away and went back to her throne and I looked at Ian and Edmund weirdly as they looked confused, then Kian and dad stepped out

"she has renounced her claim on my sons and the son of Adams blood" dad announced and we all started cheering

"how do I know both of your promises will be kept?" She asked and both of them roared in response and she sat down and all of the narnians on our side started cheering and we all started to hug Edmund and Ian while Arabella kissed Edmund with all her might and we all started awing and they both started to blush badly while I looked at peter and sighed we will never end up by doing that I don't think I then looked at Kian and dad and saw that they looked quite sad and wasn't as cheerful as the rest of us but when they turned to look at us and saw me looking at them, dad smiled sadly at me and turned away while Kian gave me an encouraging smile that I did not believe for one second but I shook it off slightly and watched them walk away.
