Chapter 12

*many years later*
Me and peter had gotten married many years ago and we hadn't had kids yet but we were planning on having some soon but I still had that thought in the back of my mind that he was going to go back home as soon as I was pregnant. Edmund and Arabella had gotten married a year ago finally after a long time of him being too scared to do it and were extremely happy together. Me, Arabella and evie had made it our personal missions to find a man suitable for Lucy and Susan but so far we had had no luck. Ian had found a girl and was dating her and was both planned on getting married sometime next month which had made me happy and evie didn't want a boyfriend as of yet so she was saving herself for someone which I was proud of her for.

I was sat in the library, reading my favourite book 'a Christmas carol' that dad thought was beneficial for me because I loved Christmas ever since the war had ended. As I was reading it, I just didn't feel right like I knew something was going to happen but then as I got to the end of the book I felt as if a part of my heart has just left me and it felt really painful so I put my book down and breathed in and out for a few seconds but it just wouldn't go away so I groaned loudly and accidentally pushed my cup of tea and my book of the desk which made a large sound but no one came to me so I just decided to just look at the wall until the pain reduced but then I heard a loud scream throughout the castle which was a very familiar scream to Arabella's when she was young all those years ago, when we had first met the pevensies but I ran to her room any way to see her looking at her mirror while feeling her face and her dress trailing more in the floor then I remembered and I looked at her confused

"Ara? Are you okay?" I asked as I slowly stepped into the room and shut the door behind me so that everyone else not to come in until we had come out

"where did Edmund and peter go today?" She asked urgently and I looked at her really confused why would she ask where they was?

"They went out hunting this mourning with Susan and Lucy, why?" I answered her and started to panic when she turned around, I gasped in shock as she gasped in shock at me.

Her whole face had turned back to when it was when she was 14 and had first met Edmund. She then handed me the mirror and I looked at me own reflection and felt tears come to my eyes, I looked 17 again

"they've actually gone?" I asked, upset that they had left without telling us and I panicked more, knowing that I was meant to tell peter something today when he got back as it was a big surprise

"it looks so" Arabella said and I put the mirror down on her bed and turned around and we hugged each other while crying. While doing so evie and Ian bursted in the room with Amelia, Ian's girlfriend, close behind them but they all knew what had happened by just looking at our hair

"they've gone haven't they?" Amelia asked and we both nodded, still hugging each other while Amelia walked in front of them and embraced us both. Amelia was a couple of years older than us and acted like our big sister whenever we talked to her

"it'll all be fine, they'll come back, if they weren't you wouldn't have turned back to your ages would you?" She asked and we shook our heads.
We know they will come back... one day
