Life as we know it

Chapter Three

"I'm so sorry momma" I say with tears running down my face as I hold her lifeless body "I should've listened-you were right mom always knows best" I say brushing strands of hair behind her ear, 

I gently lay her back onto the ground and walk over to my dad who is strung up by a chain to the ceiling only enough to make his feet barely off of the ground, I look at the chain around his neck and notice that it is connected by a lock so I then take a bobby-pin out of my hair and pick the lock then catch his body before he could hit the floor. I laid him on the floor as I did with my mother, holding him in my arms 

"I'm sorry that I didn't listen-you always told me to stay with you or mom and I have always done it...and today was the first time in the four years that I have been hunting and I-...I got you killed" tears run down my cheeks and onto his forehead.

I jump into a sitting position instead of laying down like I was when I was asleep, with my breathing labored. I turn over to check the time Five-Seventeen I get out of bed and quickly get ready for the day then go downstairs to make everyone breakfast.

"Morning Tori" Oliver says holding a noticeably tired Kyle's hand "Morning" I say putting plates out for them and with them being teenage boy's they start eating as soon as the food touches their plate,

 I sit across from them with a cup of coffee in my hands and hear footsteps come up from behind me "Hi Ali" I say to her and she gives me a tired smile "Pancakes" she says excitedly then sat down next to me and began eating as I sat there drinking a cup of coffee

 "Tori...aren't you gonna eat?" Kyle asks me "I'm not really hungry right now, I'll probably eat once you leave for school" I tell him and he nods his head I see Oliver give me this weird look but goes back to eating.

 I look at my phone to check the time "Shit guys go get your backpacks or we're gonna be late" I say after putting my coffee cup in the sink then go up the stairs with the boys so I can put my shoes on, 

I run down the stairs and wait by the door "Come on boys-what the hell are you two doing up there?" I ask as I hear them start to walk down the stairs "They were probably almost having sex against the wall in the hallway" Ali says nonchalantly still looking at her phone

 "Ali what the hell I don't want to think about that" I say kind of grossed out "Hey at least you don't share a wall with them" she says making me lightly laugh 

"You got me there" I say shaking my head, the boys finally get downstairs and they hug Ali goodbye before walking out the door to the car

 "Oh, Al's I'm going to the store-do you need anything?" I ask her "Oreo's" she says making me roll my eyes and I start to walk out the door "Oh and Nutella" she yells out before I close the door.

"Okay you two have a good day" I say as they start to get out of the car "Yeah-yeah" they say "And don't get into fights" I say to them

 "Okay" Kyle answers me "I meant that for you Oliver" I call out to him "I know" he says before closing the car door and the two of them walk hand in hand towards the front doors of the school I once attended a few short years ago. 

I walk through the store grabbing the two things that practically keep her from losing her sanity, only being in there for about five minutes. After paying for them I drove down the street to my "weapon guy" he sells weapons of all sorts with most of his business being hunters considering he was born into the bloodline.

 "Well look what we have here-Miss Victoria Winters...I haven't seen you in here in a while" Mark my weapons guy who I also grew up with because our parents were friends
