Chapter Two

"Ali-how's it going over there," I ask her as I cut someone free after being kidnapped by a vampire that we've been hunting for weeks, 

"Uh...he's gone" she says about the other victim 

Damn I was afraid of that 

"Jim..." the girl in my arms mumbles out

 "Who's Jim?" I ask her "My boyfriend...he was with me when we were taken" she says becoming limper and limper in my arms 

Oh, no-how the hell do I explain this to her...I mean I've had to do this a bunch of times but that doesn't mean it gets any easier.

"My partner has him taken care of let's just worry about you for right now...we're gonna get you out of here" I say to her and she nods her head 

"Al's come here" I call out to her and she turns the corner to find me "Take her to the car" I say and Ali wraps the girl's arm around her neck

 "What are you gonna do?" she asks "Just take her to the car-I'll be out in a few minutes" I say pulling out my gun

 "Tori-" she starts to say "Just do it Ali" I say, she gives me a disapproving look and then leaves the building with the woman 

"Come on you bloodsucking bastard" I mumble to myself after a few moments I was about to give up when I hear a grunt behind me making me turn around and I was punched in the jaw. 

I fell to the floor with a large body on top of me, it was a man wearing a light-colored t-shirt soaked in blood. He showed his fangs in a giant smile 

"Mmm...looks like I've got a hunter" he says, leaning down and almost touching my neck hearing him...Did this bitch just sniff me? 

"So sweet...I've never smelled anything like you before" Okay that sound freaking weird "You must be special as hell little one" he says licking my neck which felt gross as hell

 "Why don't you have a taste?" I ask him "Really...most people would be begging me not to bite them" he says taking his face out of my neck, looking at me I would think he's hot if he wasn't a leech.

"I've had one hell of a year-you'd be doing me a favor" I say to him

 "I'm not usually one to pity my food but since you're different I'll this one slide" he says grinning I then pressed the barrel of my gun against his temple and fired making his face drop and his dead weight fell on top of me, I pushed him off of me and walked outside.

 "Tori what the hell happened I heard a gunshot" Ali asks once I get to the car "He came back and I took care of him" I say wiping the blood that splattered onto my hand off on my pants 

"Okay-just...don't pull shit like that again...I don't wanna go home to the boys with you in a body bag" she says pulling me into a hug 

"You can't get rid of me that easily" I whisper to her then walk over to the girl who is sitting in the car with the door open and her legs hanging out 

"Hey, how are you feeling?" I ask her "I'm okay...where's Jim?" she asks 

Oh shit, 

I couched down in front of her and placed my hand on top of her knee

 "I'm so sorry but the monster that took you and your boyfriend...he injured Jim so badly that...he didn't make it" I say to her and I can see her eyes fill up with tears

 "What about the man that kidnapped us-what happened to him?" she asks "It's dead" I said to her "What do you mean 'it'?" she asks furrowing her eyebrows
