Jason and I headed off toward the truck and we rode away. There I met his little sister Lacy and his mother. We went out to Applebee's and Jason got in free due to being in service. While we waited to be seated a little boy behind us stared at Jason in awe at his uniform. He said he wanted to be in the military when he got older.... how cute. When we took our seats we started talking and catching up. Lacy and Jason's mother also asked questions about myself. My mind was still frazzled from leaving my parents so suddenly but it felt good, I finally felt free. What I hadn't noticed was that my head was down in deep thought. I felt Jason's hand on my shoulder. "Oops trailed off in thought I'm OK" I had replied quickly so he wouldn't worry. After the meal we headed to Jason's place. He lived what it looked like to be a country home. It looked very cozy. I stepped inside and first thing I noticed was picture frames on the wall and toys on the floor. Jason had a younger brother age 6. Damien was his name and he was at the grandmothers house for the night and he would return the next morning. Jason and I went in his room. It was still raining pretty hard. Jason took off his military attire and threw it on the floor. I immediately picked them up in fear it might be disrespectful. When Jason got into his PJs we both layed down on the bed and just cuddled. I was extremely happy I was able to be with him that stormy night. The next morning I woke up and Jason wasn't in bed so I searched the house then looked outside and there he was smoking a cigarette. It had stopped raining but it was wet and cloudy. I stood next to him quietly as he finished then went inside to get breakfast. We walked inside and got greeted by Damien. After breakfast Damien wanted to play cowboys with me while Jason went in his room and played a world war two game. Near mid afternoon the doorbell rang and it was Hunter Jason's best friend from Lamar I recognized him from school. The two would walk together in the hallways making inappropriate jokes. I called Jason to the door and followed him and Hunter into the bedroom. Damien had also followed. We ordered pizza and played video games until Hunter had to go home. The next morning Hunter came back and all three of us decided to go and meet up some friends for the day. We went to go pick up another friend Chase then we went to Taco bell for lunch. We hung there for a while then headed back home. The four of us spent the next few hours playing video games. I tried playing but failed. I was always better at Mario or Tetris. So Hunter took my place instead all the meanwhile Jason begging Hunter to take his car for a joyride. Later that night we went to Dairy Queen. I had ordered a lot of food and I was only 13 to 14 weeks pregnant. I was lucky because My morning sickness decreased but still threw up from time to time. It was better enough to keep food down. While we were eating I had sat quietly while the three guys passed around dead baby jokes. After Dairy Queen we went back home. Damien and I sat in the front room watching a movie while the boys sat and played cards. As the night got late Jason and I decided to go to bed and Hunter took Chase home and Jason and I went into his room. That night we made love and it was real love. It wasn't self absorbed and meaningless like it was with Cory. It was out of love. We finished within 5 minutes then went to bed right afterwards. Around 10:00 the next morning his mom told us we were visiting his grandmother in college station. It was almost a three hour drive but luckily I had Damien to entertain me. Jason slept the whole way and finally we made it. We knocked on the door Jason's grandmother answered it. We walked in and I saw his grandfather sitting in a recliner reading a newspaper. The house was decorated with glass figurines and lots of flowers. It was very cozy. For lunch we wanted to go out to eat at an old country restraunt. The food was delicious and I thanked Jason for paying my meal. After eating we visited a presidential museum. The thing I remember the most was a life size model car of the one Kennedy was shot in. I also remember the presentation about the C.I.A . The last thing we visited during our trip was the gift shop. I bought a bracelet. Jason bought a wallet, and Damien bought a toy plane. I think he enjoyed it the most. We went outside and Jason's mom thought Jason and I should take a picture next to the statue of president Washington. We returned back to his grandmother's house and spent the rest of the afternoon there. Jason's grandmother was very interesting I loved the bird feeder she had in her beautiful backyard. She was also very interested in what my interests were and what I was all about. While Jason's grandmother and I talked Jason played with Damien and his new toy plane. It was getting late and we decided to return home. In the morning his mom came in the room and told Jason that his uncle wanted to visit him and that he lived a few hours away. He agreed and I looked at him and he replied, "don't worry you're coming too." I smiled at him. So that night we began packing. Jason said we'd only be there for 2 or 3 days. So we shared a suitcase. Jason's mom woke us up around 11:00 and said she was going to take us over to his step grandparents house to meet his uncle there. We arrived at their house and greeted us with smiles. I remember the coolest thing about Jason's step grandparents. They owned old vintage show cars and it was pretty neat to see. His uncle finally arrived and I introduced myself then we were on our way. Jason's uncle had a calm dispostion and had an awesome mullet and beard. Damien did not tag along this time. I asked Jason to sit in the back with me since it was going to be a long drive. The three of us went by a gas station to collect some drinks and snacks for the drive there. On the way we stopped by to meet more relatives. They weren't as social and as friendly to me as the others were. I felt ignored most of the time we were there so I went inside and slept on the couch. Jason woke me up when it was time to get back on the road. By the time we arrived at his uncles house it was dark. Their house was located in the woods on private property. We were all greeted my a woman who introduced herself as Jason's half sister Brittany. I remember her long blonde ponytail touching her back. it was too dark to see anything else They were in the middle of a party with friends so we went along and joined. We were warned that the house was under construction and to be careful walking in. I was offered a beer and declined due to the fact that I was pregnant. Jason looked at me and didn't want me to be uncomfortable but I didn't mind him having a beer. We went outside and Jason's uncle brought a bong outside and lit a joint of marijuana. I decided to go I side to prevent a contact high. I did not have a problem with marijuana I used to smoke it all the time with my ex boyfriend Gerald before I met Corey. Jason headed inside along with me and we watched TV. inside while they were finishing up the party outside. Jason and I fell asleep in the living room and woke up the next morning to an egg and bacon breakfast. Needless to say it was scrumptious. Later in the afternoon Jason, his uncle, and his sister wanted to go get tattoos. I wanted to stay home but at the lat minute I decided to tag along. The trip to the tattoo parlor was a 30 minute drive away from the house. When we arrived we went inside and Jason's uncle went in first for a tattoo. He was finishing up a sleeve tattoo he started a week ago. I had forgotten what his sister had. When it was Jason's turn, it was already starting to get dark. I looked outside and was happy I had chosen to come. I was allowed to watch Jason get his tattoo. he already had a memorial tattoo of his dad on his back. This time he wanted anchor on his right arm. He laid down and they started drilling. It looked painful and the expression on Jason's face also said so. The tattoo looked marvelous when it was finished. Jason asked if I wanted anything before we left. I decided it was not smart to get a tattoo so I wanted a second ear hole piercing and a nose piercing. Surprisingly it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. I was pleased with it and Jason paid, I thanked him and we left the parlor. It was real late and Jason's sister had to visit the bar she owned and made sure it being kept up with. The bar was full and 3 drunken girls were singing a song from the movie Greece on the karaoke machine. Jason did not drink this time. I was offered a soda then asked to dance. Jason watched as a half drunk guy tried to dirty dance with me. I quickly left and Jason asked what was wrong and I just replied that I'm not a good dancer. I guess it didn't matter because everyone was drunk and dancing anyway. After it was closing time Jason's uncle and sister cleaned up and we were on the way home. Back at the house we took turn taking showers because there was only one shower. Jason and I slept out in the living room. The next day we woke up and it was time to return home. Jason and I slept the whole way back due to being up extremely late the night before. I thanked Jason's uncle for an amazing time and we said our goodbyes. It was afternoon by the time we got back home. We went inside and greeted his mom and told him about the fun time we had. Jason and I finished the day playing video games and watching movies until we fell asleep. We woke up and cooked pancakes for breakfast and Damien whined that he wanted corn dogs instead. After breakfast Jason wanted to talk to me. he told me that in two days he had to return to Pensacola. He said I could stay at the house but he wouldn't recommend it because his step father isn't always fond of visitors to stay for a long time. So for the rest of the day I looked for places to stay because I refused to go back with my parents. I had no result so the next day Jason's mother drove Jason and I to the pregnancy help center. The people inside were very friendly and helpful. They gave me lots of maternity clothes to pick out and helped me find a place to stay. They took me in the computer room and the first thing that popped up was Safe Haven Maternity home. I read about it and loved it. It looked like a nice place to stay and the only requirements to live there was to follow the rules and be pregnant. I read further and discovered they were a Christian service and lived solely off of donations. I read more on the rules and noticed it was very strict and demanded order. No cell phones or musical devices, only certain times of the day are you allowed to watch TV, and your life has to focus on God. So basically it was a Christian home designed to help pregnant women turn their life to God and to prepare for a baby. I decided to call them to see when it was appropriate to move in. I made the call and they explained that we had to set a meeting to see if I was right for their home. I asked if I could meet them ASAP. Luckily they were available the next day. So we decided to meet at a Starbucks nearby. The next day arrived and I was getting ready to meet the Safe Haven house parents. Jason came with me. On the ride there I noticed my nose piercing and quickly took it out. I wanted to look like I was a Christian and not some crazed out party girl. I shoved the nose ring in my pocket and looked at my nose in a mirror I had brought with me. It looked like I had a popped pimple where the nose ring was. I entered the Starbucks and was greeted by a man and a young woman around my age. The man looked in his 30s with neatly combed brown hair and glasses. He introduced himself as Anthony. The young woman beside him was a girl around my age. She was visibly pregnant so I immediately knew she was a Safe Haven resident. She introduced herself as Stephanie. I told her how pretty she was. She had beautiful wavy red hair that touched her shoulders and vibrant blue eyes. I looked at her striped pink and white t shirt and she explained she was around 33 to 34 weeks pregnant. In was in awe. I was hardly showing. Anthony politely asked Stephanie and Jason to give Anthony and I some time to talk. I ordered a vanilla bean frappe, and started our visit. The first thing Anthony asked was if I was Christian. Of course I said yes. I explained I was Catholic. Anthony also reviewed rules and what's expected of me while living at the home. The visit was a total of 15 minutes. The last thing Anthony told me was if they accepted me that I would need my own ride to the house. They live up in Lake Jackson so it would be a 2 hour ride from here in Rosenburg. I thanked Stephanie and Anthony to their long drive up here. Jason and I went home and I explained that they would decide if I was right for the home in 3 to 4 days. Jason was leaving for Pensacola tomorrow afternoon which means I was forced to call my parents to go back home until Anthony's decision was made. I made the gut wrenching call and they agreed to let me stay. I spent the last night with Jason cuddling. It was stormy and dark. I was sad because I didn't want to go home. The Ear,y in the morning I woke up and packed everything that I had brought with me. Jason and I sat on his bed and waited for his mom to take me back home. After 15 minutes of Jason comforting me, I said goodbye to Damien and Jason's step father and headed off. It seemed like a very short drive back to my parents house. I got out and rang the door bell. My father answered it and I asked if I could have one last moment before I said goodbye to Jason. Jason and I said goodbye and had a last kiss then I watched him ride off. I went inside and my parents wanted a word with me. I went into to the office room and sat uneasily on the floor. My dad started and mentioned that he looked up the Safe Haven home I was trying to move into to. To my surprise he was impressed. He said he hopes I can be accepted. He also was questioning that they are strict and don't take no nonsense. I was already fully aware of their rules and regulations. We ended our conversation and I went upstairs and played computer games. I waited patiently and in 2 days I received a call from Anthony happily replying that I was accepted into Safe Haven maternity home. He stated that my move in day would be Saturday. I hung up the phone and danced with joy. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to go, and now I'm leaving my parents house for the remainder of my pregnancy. Later in the evening when both of my parents arrived home I told them the great news. It was only Wednesday night so I would spend the next 3 days preparing myself for the big news. The night before. the move my stomach felt queasy with nervousness. I spent a good portion of the night listening to my iPod because I couldn't sleep. My dad woke me up in the morning saying to take a shower and get ready to go. I had packed the previous night so all I had to do was get myself ready. I went down for some breakfast but felt the need to throw up instead. So I only drank some juice. I went back upstairs and threw up the juice I just had. I was extremely nervous. I headed back downstairs with my suitcase and gave Jason one last call before heading out the door. I brought my iPod for the long drive there. I talked to my dad and he eased my nervousness. We finally entered the long drive way to the house. I stared in amazement. It was a huge home and the plants at the front of the house were very beautiful and well kept. My dad and I walked to the front door. Anthony and Stephanie once again greeted me. Anthony walked me inside and I was astounded. The inside was even more amazing than I imagined. I noticed there was a little apartment like area connected inside of the home. Anthony stated that is where his wife Jessica and kids live. The upstairs is where the third house parent Abbey and the pregnant women sleep. I said my final goodbyes to my dad, and Anthony. said to hang out until its Abbeys turn for duty. I went into the kitchen and opened the pantry and was delighted at the snacks awaiting for me. Jessica came into the dining room and introduced herself. She was also very beautiful with curly long brown hair and cute freckles. She took my birth certificate and had me sign papers and had me take a pregnancy test even though I was 14 weeks along. It was just part of regulation. Once she was done she told me that Abbey would arrive in an hour and go over more rules of the house. Jessica left the room and Stephanie entered. I was eating cheese itz and I asked Stephanie where the rest of the girls were. She explained that we were then only ones right now. Afternoon hit and I saw a woman come down stairs. She had blonde hair that was slightly flipped out and she had pretty blue eyes. She introduced herself as Abbey. She took me in the TV room and pulled out what it looked liked a rules manual. She opened it up and started with number one on the page.
