Chapter 4: His Little Dove
"Time for bed, my little dove." Loki said, he leaned against the doorway of his study. I looked up at him, I had been in Loki's study for ever since dinner. Loki had to go the Throne for something and told to put books away and store them on the bookshelf.
One of the books sat on my lap, about all of the Nine Realms.
"What are you reading?" Loki asked, kneeling beside me. Once he got a glance at the book, he shook his head and chuckled.
"Oh, my little dove." He said.
I closed the leather bound book and placed it on the shelf. Loki slipped his arms around me and lifted me off the ground. Carrying me bridal style to the bed. Loki padded around the chambers, making sure all lights were off except the bedroom's as I got under the sheets.
I yawned, a little to loud, when Loki got in. He smirked at me.
"Tired, my dove?"
"No, just because I yawned doesn't mean I am tired." I said. He rolled his eyes at my stubbornness.
Loki pulled me to him, laying me on his lap. I cuddled into his side, receiving the heat he was providing.
"Sure, you aren't, my beautiful dove." He replied, starting to stroke my hair. I pulled back, looking up at me.
"Why do you call me that?" I asked. He furrowed his brows.
"What name?"
"Dove. You keep calling me that." I explained. "So why do you?"
Loki smiled.
"You remind of one. Doves are fragile, delicate creatures. Without the proper care, they can easily get hurt. Break a wing or neck, or get themselves killed."
"You think I am delicate and fragile?" I said, giving him a strange look.
"Why yes, you are so delicate in everything you do. Making sure it is to perfection, not to disappoint." Loki explained, cupping my cheek and drew circles on my cheekbone. A smile tugged onto my lips.
"Still doesn't explain why you don't say my actual name." I replied.
"Well would you rather me call you Elizabeth?" Loki inquired. "Because I do so love calling you dove."
That took me a bit to think about, I bit my bottom lip.
"I don't know, I don't mind you calling me dove. I kinda like it when you, um, call me it." I admitted.
Loki smirked.
"Oh, you like it? I see."
My eyes rolled.
He looked down at me, smiling, before hesitantly leaning down. His cool lips met mine, kissing me. I was a bit shocked, not sure what to do. Loki picked that up, when I didn't respond quick enough.
"Sorry, that was foolish of me." He said as I sat up.
"No, it's fine. I was a bit shocked." I replied quietly.
"You haven't been kissed by man, have you?" Loki said. At first, I thought he'd mock me but he didn't.
"Not really." I whispered.
Loki cupped my cheek, bringing my head closer.
"Let me guide you, my dove." He said, before bringing his lips onto mine again. I let him takeover. Loki started moving his lips against mine, I slowly followed by doing the same.
His hands clasped mine, and wrapped them around his neck. I gripped on, pressing my lips against his. Loki smiled, his tongue poked my bottom lip which made me gasp. To his advantage, to slip his tongue in. He explored, massaging and running his tongue in my mouth. Running out of air, I pulled back. Gasping for air.
Loki's hand found my hips and held onto them, before flipping me on my back. Loki was on top of me, pinning me to the bed.
"Loki-" He cut me off by kissing my neck, placing little kisses down my neck. I titled my head back to receive more. Loki chuckled and nibbled on the soft skin until I let out a small moan.
"Oh darling, we are going to have fun together if you stay with me." He murmured against my neck.
"I doubt I am going anywhere." I said. Loki chuckled, rolling onto his side and pulling me with him. He was spooning me, his arm tightly wrapped around my waist. Making sure I wouldn't sneak out of his grasp.
The lights slowly dimmed before the chamber filled darkness. I jumped in his arms when he planted a kiss behind my ear, an unexpected kiss. A low rubble came from Loki's chest, he nuzzled into the nape of my neck. I shifted, changing my leg position.
"Loki?" I whispered.
"What do you want, my little dove?" Loki replied.
"What realms have you visited?" I asked.
"Absurd question, but if you must know. I have been to Midgard, Vanaheim, Jotunheim and Svartalfheim." He said.
"I've never left Asgard, I was just interested. Not that I would leave." I babbled, before Loki shushed me.
"Go to sleep, my dove."
I sighed and twisted around in his arms. Loki chuckled when I nuzzled my head in the crook of neck. Slowly, sleep came to me as Loki drew meaningless circles on my back and stroked my hair.
That morning when I woke up, I was in an empty bed. Loki was nowhere in sight. A piece of paper was on the dinning table, so I got up and grabbed in. Loki's cursive writing in fresh ink on a snow-white sheet on paper, made it look so clean.
My beautiful dove,
As you can see, I am not here. I going with stubborn brother, Thor, and his friends to go hunting. I shall return in the evening. Be good.
Loki
I rolled my eyes, I knew Thor was dragging Loki along whether Loki enjoyed or not. Sometimes, I felt bad for Loki and I understood why he didn't enjoy being around Thor. I put Loki's note back on the table and got dressed. Since Loki was gone, today I decided to a full clean up of the chambers.
A knock came on the door, and Lin peeked her head in. Her blond, short bouncing as she stepped in.
"Lin!" I said, tying my hair into a bun. She balanced a silver tray, and set it on the table.
"Loki asked me to give you your meal." She said and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear.
I smiled, I didn't really know what to say. "Thank you."
"Your welcome. By the way, good luck with Loki." Lin replied and turned to leave.
"What do you mean?" I asked, curious to what she meant.
"Maids like you never last long, he'll throw you out soon like he does to everyone and if you think you can win him over, you are in for trouble." Lin snapped and strode out.
What the heck just happened?
I sat there in shock, I wasn't sure if I should tell Loki or not. But I was already planning to stay away from her. Would Loki throw out his little dove like the rest? I didn't like that thought. This was the best thing that has happened to me, working for him.
And I may of started to developed feelings towards him.
