He was supposed to wait there. His arrows sprawled out amongst the grass. Where'd Jose go? There were prints in the mud a tad bit away suggesting he was attacked but by what? Or who?
When we came in Castor was staring blankly at nothing, it was kind of concerning. He was shaking and crying too, though that's not completely unlike him.
"Castor?" Sly asked, carefully.
"We was right- what- how!" Castor cried hugging himself.
"Hey, Castor, it's okay," Sly assured him.
"We have to go get him!" Castor insisted.
"What! No, we can't. He can fend for himself," Steven immediately spat.
"Wha- Steven!" Castor immediately retorted shocked.
"We don't even know where he is! We need to hurry this up, find out where he is, get the kids out of here, and then get him," Steven spat.
"But-" Castor quickly scrambled.
"Sorry to say, but Steven's right Castor. We can't go running into a battle like that with almost 200 kids on our tails," I murmured.
Then we split up with Castor protesting about finding Jose. Don't get us wrong, we really want to find Jose, but we can't. Not now at least. Katz, his team, my team, and I all went one direction while the others when different directions.
"Katz?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He asked not even bothered by the fact that I said his real name.
"I'm going to fly up to see what view I can get I'll be right back," I told him.
He nodded and I bit my lip. I took Mjolnir off of the hook I had it dangling off of. I tightened my grip around it and jumped.
Instantly I was off the ground, I looked up and flew. Once at a reasonable distance up, about right above the high trees, I looked around. There was nothing. No spiders in the trees, no Hydras, no Nakas, no mazes.
Just lines of trees. There wasn't even a dense forest! We must not be close to the edge of the clearing if there isn't a forest, I decided. But you can always see the forest. Almost always that is. I began to float down to the ground. On my way down I paused and read the message Katz sent.
Omegadark14:I'm sending anyone that can fly up to you. Anyone who can't is climbing.
Omegadark14: hide Jess
Aphmau: why? Is someone down there?
Omegadark14:yeah. He's really tall and red. My guess is he's a monster.
Remix10tails:Dont pay attention to him! At least pretend you didn't see him!
Steven:you OK Jose?
Remix10tails:for now. I've got two arrows and my bow and I'm surrounded. I'll try and find a way out or find where I am.
xXSlyFoxXx:couldn't we just use our one TP to get you?
BurnAlex:no we should use that to get out instead.
Aphmau:can't he use his TP to get out?
Remix10tails:I can try.
Remix10tails:who's safe?
xXSlyFoxXx:I am.
Remix10tails:no, it says the "the command you are trying to use is currently unavailable or doesn't exist" thingy
Aphmau: then how are we supposed to use it if it doesn't work?
BurnAlex:we'll have to make a plan. How much longer can you hold up?
Remix10tails: possibly a solid 30 minutes at best. If they run experiments on me I'm blaming you guys
Steven: ok be careful for me, got it Cous
Remix10tails:Yes Sir! I can do that.
I slipped into the leaves meeting up with a whole group of scared girls and boys. Some had climbed this high up, others had flown.
Below me, more of our groups huddled together but far below on the ground, two boys stood. Katz and one of his members.
Katz took the boy's hand and led him through some brush. Behind them, the 'tall red guy' lingered after them. It was following them. The kid kneeled down to a flower and pointed to it. I wish I could hear what they were saying.
