I sat in the cold. Snow fell from the sky as I stared down into a small camp. Their flame flickered and they huddled near it for warmth. It'd take a lot of guts to camp way up here. 1. The cold. 2. Us. Everyone knows of us. Even people thousands of miles away.
"We just need to go a little farther!" A big bulky man said looking around cautiously.

"What about our bait?" A female asked.
"Will he die of hypothermia before they find him?" The female asked.
"No. Considering we've already got their attention," the man said with a smile staring up at me.
"Oh great god! Forgive the intrusion but we come, baring an offering for you. We only ask that you let our village pass through unscathed," the man bowed on his hands and knees. The female soon followed suit.

"And the offering?" I asked.
I saw the man jump slightly and then get up and lift a blanket, revealing a cage. Inside sat an unconscious boy, 16 or so with a small 9 or so year old girl. Anger bubbled within me.
"And you wish to sacrifice innocent youths for your whole village?" I asked.

"Oh no! They are not innocent! The boy ran away which is a crime amongst our people and the girl stole," the woman explained.
"Who are they?" I asked.
"Castor Barton and Fiona Kent," the woman said.
Barton and Kent. I feel like I've- oh.
"You're willing to sacrifice children of heroes?" I asked.

They said nothing.
"PITIFUL! YOU WILL BE PUNISHED FOR THIS CRIME! I'LL SEE TO IT THAT YOUR VILLAGE BURNS!" I growled loudly.
I jumped from my perch. They stammered backwards and looked around for a way out.
"Huh? Where am I" Castor asked.
"And taking a child?" I asked a laugh escaping my lips.

"I should just kill you now. But that'd save you from the suffering. Go. Tell your village what you have done. And if they are wise they'll run, and never associate with you two again," I growled.
The two stampered off scared out of their mind.
"Who are you?" Castor asked.
"Don't worry about that," I said.
I grabbed the bars on the cage and yanked at them. They flew off and now we had full access to each other.
"Who are you?" He asked again.
"I live here," I said.

"In the snow?" He asked.
I nodded. He looked me up and down.
"Wearing that?" He asked.
I looked down at myself. White shorts, grey T-shirt, purple jacket with white sleeves and hood.
"Yeah, like this," I said calmly.
"Ok," he shrugged.

Then he shivered. He breathed on his hands trying to warm them and rubbed his hands against his bare arms trying to get friction.
"Gawk, I keep forgetting how cold it can get in some places," he laughed.
His breath leaving vapor in the air.
I nodded and smiled saying,"easy thing to do."

He smiled and nodded. He looked down at the girl and his eyes widened.
"Fiona!?" He shrieked trying to wake her up.
"Wake up Fiona. Gawk, Aphmau and Alex are gonna kill me!" He shrieked again.
"You know Jessica?" I asked kneeling down.
"Yeah, she's lady Thor," Castor said.
"Of coarse, I know that silly," I laughed.

"We are siblings n' all," I laughed.
A smile crept it's way onto my lips. It's been forever sense I last saw my older sister. I think it'd be fun to see her once more.
"Do you know where she is?" Castor asked.
His eyes seemed to plead.
I pulled out a watch and flipped it open a hologram popped up saying "dialing Jessie".

It flashed and then the message "call failed" popped up.
"Of course she doesn't answer," I huffed.
I stuffed the watch in my pocket and pulled out my amulet. I pressed on the center of it and options popped up.
"Jessie", "Shooble", "Newscapepro", "Adam", "ROOOOOOOSSSSSSS", and "Narney".
I pressed on "Adam" and waited.

"Dialing. . ."
"Dialing. . ."

"Yeah?" His voice rang out.
"Hey Sky, you home?" I asked.
". . . . Yeah. Why?" He hummed.
"I've got some guests. Plus we need to figure out how to burn a village," I chirped.
"Kay!" Adam chirped back.
"See ya soon?" He asked.
"Yeah, see you at home," I agreed.
"Is John and Ross home?" I asked.
"In their rooms, yeah," he accordanted.
"Ok. I'll see you in a monento," I hummed standing up.
"Gotcha!" He said.

The call ended.

"Come on," I said holding my hand out for Castor.
He took my hand hoisting himself up holding onto the bars of the cage and my hand. He stumbled once he was up and almost fell back down. He took a moment and took a deep breath. Then he kneeled down and scooped the girl up. He paused and then smiled. He stood completely still for 30 seconds and then returned to reality turning back to me.

"Come on," I said walking backwards as the snow started getting heavier.
He followed close behind. The snow thickened. It crunched beneath our feet and with every step electricity warmed me, but I can't say the same for him. Finally it got to the point where I had to hold onto him because we could barely see eachother. Almost an hour of walking later and we ducked into a cave. The snow was thick and heavy. Outside the cave was almost pure white with the occasional dark outline of trees and such. I led Castor deeper into the cave. The deeper we went the blacker it became. Until I stopped us.

I pressed my hand against the cave wall. The stone was freezing under my palm and after a few seconds of it being cold it started warming up. The heat from my body transfered onto the stone. It glowed from the heat and I pushed. The shape of the door appeared using the light and I pushed harder. The door swung open and we walked inside. The warmth incased our bodies as I closed the door behind us. I spread my arms out like I was trying for a hug and announced, "Welcome to our home!"
I tapped my amulets and chose "Newscapepro".
"I'll be right back. Make yourself comfortable!" I urged as I walked out of the room into the dining room.

"Yes sir?" Cory hummed.
"Why hello!" I chirped happily.
"Does little firecracker need somethin'?" Cory asked.
"Oh, just a question," I hummed.
"And that'd be?" He asked.
"Have you talked to Jessica lately?" I asked.
He didn't answer for a few anxiously long seconds.
"She's with me right now, why?" Cory asked.
"Really?" I asked,"then WHY ON EARTH DID SHE IGNORE MY CALL!"
Cory laughed. He seemed so cheery about it. There was mumbling and I sat down at the dining table.

"Look, I've got two little slices of pie I think she might enjoy," I hummed.
"And sorry, but no, they aren't actually pie," I chuckled.
No response.
Adam walked into the dining room and raised an eyebrow at me as I tapped my foot against the hard-wood floor.
"Where's your guests?" He asked.
I placed a finger to my lip as I sat in silence.
"Jin?" Jess' voice asked through it.
A smile crept apon my lips asked I took a deep breath.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Who are they?" She asked.
"Castor Barton and Fiona Kent, I'm pretty sure," I said.
Silence.
"Are you at your place?" Jess asked.
"In the middle of a blizzard, yeah," I said.
"Ok, I'm coming," she said.
"Jess, wait n-" I tried.
The line cut off.
"Oh gosh," I let out a shaky sighed.
"Hope she doesn't get crushed!" Adam chirped walking out the other door to where Castor and Fiona were.

She should know the dangers by now. She should have waited for information about weather or not there was someone else there, in our forest. I hope she doesn't burn, get crushed, get swept away by water, or die of hypothermia.

I walked out of the room and stared at Castor, Fiona and Adam talking to eachother. I leaned against the door frame and smiled.

It ain't easy as it seams, trust me. But I've been there before. So hey, how you doin'? Well, I'm doing just fine, I lied; I'm dying inside. Hey, can't you see I'm not fine at all, but I'll just keep it to myself.
