It took a while to get to what Lorna called the Mutant Underground, but she could only say good things about it, and from what you learnt of her, saying good things about something was a big deal.

She led you into the old house, it was dark and not too clean, but it instantly felt like home. Lorna carried your bag down a set of stairs towards a group of people whom sat below.

"You got her?" One of the men in the group asked.

"Don't say that," the woman frowned. "It sounds like we caught her. Lorna you did get her to come willingly right?"

Lorna rolled her eyes at you before, placing your bag down before you.

"She willingly came yes. This is Y/N," she stated gesturing to you. "And Y/N, this is John and Marcos, the three of us run this joint, and Sonya, John's girlfriend, my best friend and the best asset after a rough fight."

You raised an eyebrow, not sure what she meant by that.

Sonya rose from her seat, putting her hand out for you to shake. "I can manipulate memories. Something bad happens and you want to forget, then pop it's gone. Can be intrusive I guess, but it can be fun I guess. What do you do?"

"Um... urgh..." you weren't sure what to say.

You weren't the best with people and it worried you to be around strangers, especially mutants. You'd be raised to fear them, but although you didn't fear them, you were cautious not sure how they lived as a unit, only knowing that of non-mutants.

"She manipulates the weather. Or can you just make rain?" Lorna asked turning to you.

"No all-weather," you stated looking down at your feet. "I started a small tornado when I had the flu."

Lorna smiled at your comment, turning towards the two men.

"John has super strength and senses and foresight, whilst Marcos can manipulate photons," Lorna explained.

"Manipulate photons?" You questioned.

"Light, heat and energy mainly," Marcos stated.

You nodded your head. You knew mutations were fairly unique but having never met another mutant before Lorna, it amazed you by how many different wonderful things people were able to do.

"Is it only you three?" You asked.

Lornarested her hand on your shoulder. "Don't sell yourself short, you're one of usnow," she smiled. "And there are a fair few more of us, around here somewhere.Come on, let's get you settled in."
