chapter forty one (real life)

i sit on the end of my bed, my camera setup all ready.

i hit record on my camera.

"hey guys. so, what's up? how are y'all doing? it's been a hot minute since i've filmed a video, but here i am, in the comfort of my room, just sitting on my bed in a pair of sweats. and i'm here to talk about some things that have been going on in my life recently and answer some of your questions. make sure to like this and subscribe, and let's just get right into this." i say. "so first, i thought i would just tell you all about some things that have happened. so the biggest thing that has happened is that ben and i are no longer dating. we broke up a couple weeks ago. i'm not going into detail for both of our sakes and privacy, but i just wanted to tell you that. i will be getting back into my regular youtube routine with filming and uploading. so now, i thought i would answer some questions you guys asked me on twitter. one of the most asked questions was: are you still friends with luka, and team 10. yes, i am still friends with both. luka and i actually texted this morning and made plans to meet up next week, which i'm so hype for, and i'm still friends with team 10, i think we might try and meet up sometime soon. the next question that was asked a lot was if i have any exciting upcoming things planned. what i'm going to say is yes i do, be on the lookout for updates on my instagram, snapchat and twitter! next question... how are you and jonah? i knew this question was gonna come up...we are great. best of friends."

my phone goes off, notifying me i have a text.

i hear a knock on the door.

i quickly grab my bag.

"tessa! i'm heading out! i'll be back later!" i yell.

"okay! i think there are some plans being made, i'll text you!"

"okay!"

i walk outside, seeing the uber with jonah sitting in it.

opening the door, i set my back on the ground.

"hey jonah!" i smile.

"hey!" he replies, returning the smile.

jonah and i grab our coffees and find a table to sit at.

"wait, let me snap this," jonah says, pulling out his phone.

"the fans will go insane," i reply.

"let them."

jonah holds his phone to take a picture of our coffees and myself.

i stick my tongue out, holding up a peace sign and tilting my head to one side.

"i hear the dating rumors already," i chuckle, taking a sip of my coffee.

jonah laughs.

"so do i," he replies. "so, how are you doing?"

"a lot better. you know, two weeks ago i was a hot mess. but just being around you and tessa and the other boys, just having you all around and having best friends like you all has been really good for me, and it's helped me cope with the breakup a lot," i explain.

"that's good. i'm glad that we all are able to help."

"yeah, i just hope that maybe we can be civil. i think i'll try and text him next week or something, i don't know."
