"I can feel you fade away, from the kitchen to the bathroom sink and, your steps keep me awake."

Avon watched as his sister climbed hesitantly into the pod which could kill her or leave her stranded on earth alone. Jaha said a few words to Cyra before closing the door - there was a window in the door so she was able to see everyone. The door pressed shut and Cyra began to panic, she wasn't mentally ready - you could see the regret on her face.

Avon wanted desperately to rush to Cyra but two guards held him back by his arms, making sure he didn't run to his sister. Avon thrashed around frantically in the guards arms but kept a firm gaze on Cyra and the pod.

There was a brief countdown before the pod released and launched all the way down to earth in high speed. Avon dropped to his knees in defeat - the guards still holding him. He had just lost the last of his family.

The crowd that once surrounded the pod and Cyra had all gone on with their days - there were only a few people standing around; Bellamy, Kane, Jaha, Clarke, Abby and Avon. The aura of the room had completely changed, everyone missed the younger Carvelle's sarcastic remarks and terrible jokes - well everyone except the council.

Avon felt like a huge piece of him was missing, like someone had just ripped half of his heart out and thrown it out into space. His sadness slowly turned into denial and then to anger. Anger towards to council, how could they just send a teenager down to earth to die like that?

He shook out of the guards grip and pushed himself up off of the floor with his hand, despite his arms aching. Everyone watched with wide eyes as Avon stalked up to the Chancellor and Kane with such a glare - that if looks could kill they would have been dead a thousand times over. Jaha straightened up his posture as did Kane, they both looked down at a furious Avon.

"You know Chancellor," Avon said in a sadistic tone, "maybe one day you'll get to kill me too." The Chancellor was taken aback by his words and so was everyone in the room. Avon pulled a Cyra and spat down at the Chancellor's feet. Kane and Jaha looked down at Jaha's feet with disgust, then they watched as a furious Avon stomped down the hallways.

"Top right drawer, kitchen." Cyra's rushed words replayed in his head like a broken record. Avon rummaged through the top right drawer of their kitchen, desperately trying to find what his sister was talking about. His curious eyes landed on a folded piece of white paper with his name written on it.

Avon pulled out the paper with a sad smile as his fingertips grazed over the slightly smudged ink from when she wrote it. He slowly unfolded the paper, trying not to tear or scrunch it up. There were paragraphs of writing and the shiny silver necklace he had given her for her birthday a year or so ago. Avon took a deep, shaky breath before slowly reading down the page.

'Dearest brother,
This letter has been hidden away from some time now, I knew a day would come where I would have to say goodbye - and I guess it's that time now. You're reading this because I've either been thrown away into the sky box or even worse, floated.
You probably won't see me again, so this is my final goodbye to you.
I love you, so much Avon. I don't say it enough, but I really do. We don't agree on a lot of things but one thing we do, is we have each others backs no matter what.
Having a sibling like you has been one of the best gifts I've ever gotten, maybe I was the reason mum is gone - I'll never know. And if so, I'm sorry.
You are the most caring and sweetest person I know, you shaped me into who I am and I cannot thank you enough. A part of me will always be with you I hope, I hope you remember all the moments we had even if they were so little and seemed unimportant at the time. You have so many great things ahead of you and know that I'll always be proud, everyone will.
I want you to face every problem that life gives you with a positive outlook, if you think of all of the bright things - the bad things will go away. You are beautiful and smart, and I wish you all the best in your future.
It is time we now part and go our seperate ways, don't think about me too much - I don't want you to be sad all the time.
Just know that I love you Avon, there isn't a version of you I don't love. I'll always be with you.

May we meet again in another life.

Love, Cyra.'

Avon slumped down in his chair as he folded up the letter and placed it onto the table infront of him. Tears dripped down from his cheeks to the old table, he felt empty and broken inside. He buried his face in his palms as he sat in silence for minutes on end.

The last few moments were a blur for Avon, guards came charging at him one by one. Punches were thrown and taken. He could feel the metallic taste of blood in his mouth as it dripped down his chin.

"Mr. Carvelle, please stand down or we will have to use force to get you to stop." Countless guards tried reasoning with Avon but he wouldn't back down. He was angry, blaming every single guard on the Ark for what could've been the death of his sister.

"No." Was all he said, as he swung another punch - knocking the guard straight to the floor. Avon's breathing was deep and heavy as he scanned his eyes over his next target. There was an immense shock coursing through his body as Avon fell down in an instant, he lay flat on his back as he looked up into the eyes of the Chancellor and some of the council.

"Avon Carvelle, you are under arrest for assaulting multiple guards and the murder of Jason--" Those were the last words Avon heard before he was consumed by darkness.

I got super sad writing that letter, I tried to make it emotional but I'm not sure how it went. Jason is just a name I made up on the spot it's not crucial information haha. Well you guys got a look inside Avon's head, next chapter will definitely be a Cyra one and she will meet Roan :)
