"That's it for this week, I'll see all of you sexy beautiful mofos next Friday," I smile.
"Catherine Danielle Marie! Get your ass down here!" My mother calls.
"Coming!" I yell, taking off down the stairs. "Yes ma'am?" I ask stepping into the lounge where the devil herself, I mean my mother, stays all hours of the day.
"Someone named Kevin Lyman called and wants you to be on some music festival for the next few months, do you know anything about it?" She asks.
"Um, no ma'am, but I might have a slight idea about it," of course I know what she's talking about, it's my only way out of this hell hole. Kevin Lyman is the founder of Warped Tour.
"Well, don't just stand there," she yells.
"Kevin Lyman is the founder of a traveling music festival called Vans Warped Tour and YouTubers get invited to come along and meet their subscribers," I explain.
"And you wanted to be a part of this Vans Wrapped Tour?"
"Warped Tour and yes, so very badly, please mom, I will do anything, dad," my mom tenses up when I say that, "dad, he would be so proud of me if he was here to see me at where I am now, please I have never asked for anything, I'll be doing what I love, traveling with music and YouTube." I practically beg her. See, my dad died when I was eight, now I'm sixteen. My mom has never been the same since he died, I'm just like him. He was in love with music, he would do anything to not let go of it.
"I will consider it, but there is one thing," she stands up. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped during those few seconds of silence. "Live your dad's dream, he would've wanted you to go, you are so much like him, please Danielle, promise me that we'll have a better relationship when you get back, your dad would've wanted it," she says. She might not be as bad as I thought she was.
"Catherine Danielle! Get up now! You have to clean the house today while I'm out with some friends!" I knew it was too good to be true. I get up out of my comfy bed and walk downstairs to find my mom has already left.
