With her hands shaking and her palms sweating, Jennie opened the door in front of her, revealing a smily Lisa.
It felt so good to see her like this, and even though it has been a week since she last saw her, she felt like they had never left each other."hey jen" Lisa said with a grin "It feels good to see you smiling" she added, and Jennie didn't even notice the wide smile that appeared on her own face. She felt her cheeks heating up, and playfully hit Lisa on the shoulder.
"well it's all thanks to you" the brunette said. "so, let's go, shall we ?"
"I'm following you"
Jennie grabbed Lisa's arm and started walking towards the café she told her about. It was a nice place, not crowded, and kinda romantic. It was a way for Jennie to let the other girl know how she felt, without actually having to say it. Because if the brunette was completely honest, if at first she hated Lisa's constant flirting, she started to get used to it, and even learned to like it ; so when the blonde stopped it a few days ago, she felt a void in her chest. And that's when she realized how much she liked her.
Sure, they needed more time. Jennie did, at least.
But the way her heart was racing whenever she got a text from Lisa proved that her feelings were very much there.
Though, she was terrified of them, and she could never tell Lisa about it. So that's why they ended up in a café where only couples hanged out, jennie hopping more than anything that Lisa would get the message, and at the same time praying that she would not.
"That's a nice place" Lisa said once they sat up.
"I know right" Jennie answered with a smile.
They started talking about anything and everything. Lisa telling Jennie about her dance classes, and the choreos she was working on, talking about how she wanted to become a choreographer or a dance teacher. She had so much passion in her voice, it made Jennie fall even harder for her.
They talked for an hour, or maybe two.
It was like they were meant to be together, everything felt so natural.
Until Lisa broke Jennie's heart.
"You know what? I'm so glad we're friends" She said, with a big grin on her face.
Oh.
So that's how it feels.Jennie hid her pain behind a smile, and only nodded. She didn't have any right to get upset, since she did the exact same thing only a few days ago.
But she missed having Lisa head over heels for her.
And she realized that maybe she lost her chance, only for being too damn oblivious to her own feelings.
She had never hated herself more.
