Blank Space- Eight

Tim was back! Kai went back to him. She was angry I slept with Ivy. Does she even have the right to do that? Zack closed his restaurant for two days and he replaced Kai. I let him lodge with me and this man wasn't shedding a tear. He sits in the couch all day and stares at whatever he sets his eyes on. He was creeping me out.

"Zack." I called and he still stared at the wall. "Zack stop freaking me out. What is wrong with you?" I asked and his eyes were still on it. I stood in front of him and he stared at my lower part. I bent to him and his eyes were teary. "It'll stop hurting if you cry. Men cry too. It's not a sin to cry when something hurts."

   "I'm okay. I don't know why you expect me to cry when I don't feel like crying."

"Why are you not eating too?"

   "Your food tastes bad."

"You're a chef. Get up and cook if mine tastes bad." I walked away from him to the kitchen and got a call from Carina. "Hey Carina what's up?" I asked loudly so he hears.

"Is he okay? He closed his restaurant."

    "Do you want to see him? He doesn't look okay."

"No, I'm just calling to ask. I've no business with him. See you later." she hanged up and I sighed. Zack looked at me expecting me to say something.

"She called to check up on you. Don't you feel bad?" he bowed his head. "Fucking her best friend was a bad thing to do but she still cares about you. Carina loves you and she might forgive you if you try apologizing. Stop being hard on yourself Zack. You'll break down like me if she starts loving Josh." I said to him and walked to my bedroom.

I stood by the door and heard his sniffing. He sobbed quietly in the couch and I was relieved he was letting it out.

   I stepped out of my apartment with Zack to get some air. I drove him around in my car and he was quite. It was so unlike him. We drove pass Tim's company and Zack screeched. "Go back Devin. Something caught my eye." I drove back as he requested.

On the company's billboard stand was Kai Walker. Was that a marketing strategy? They'll only drive guys to their company. She looked like a goddess in that ad. "Wow Kai is really hot Devin. I can't believe you dated her."

"Shut up." I said to him and drove away. We drove around town for hours and when we were getting home at night, we saw Josh and Carina walking hand in hand on the street.

"Wow Carina is really hot Zack. I can't believe you dated her." I teased and he gritted his teeth.

    "I don't care. I'm not bothered. I'm okay. This is not my problem. I don't give a fuck." he said to himself and I burst out laughing. "I really don't care. They look good together."

"No doubt about it." I shook my head laughing. He looked at the side window and cussed out.

    "Go back. I can't stand it." he said. I drove back once again upon request and he got down from the car before I had to park. "Carina let's talk." he said in vigour. I got down from the car and Josh was looking at us anxiously.

"What makes you think I'll give you the time to talk? I'm not interested in what you have to say." she said.

   "I need just two minutes."

"No! Don't be the fuckboy who only comes back when he sees the girl moving on." she said and he turned to me. I gave him the sign to keep it cool and he sighed.

"What's going on here?" Josh asked.

    "This is my friend," she said to Josh. "And this is my boyfriend." she said to Zack. "Do you still want to talk?"
