Kai took off Tim's hand and ran out of the restaurant. I zipped my jean and headed out too. Tim stopped me at the doorway with his hand and he scowled at me. "Let her go while I ask nicely Devin." he warned and I slapped his hand out of my way.
"Treat her better while I ask nicely too Tim." I eyed at him and took a step forward. I turned back to him and he was still scowling at me. "Let's get something straight here man. You do not rule her life. You'll have to go through me first." I said to him and walked out. I looked around for her and she wasn't seen anywhere.
"Kai." I called running on the street. "Babe where are you?"
"I'm here." she said from behind. I turned to her and she sighed. "Still have nothing to do with her? Why did you lie Devin?"
"I'll sound crazy to you if I tell you there is nothing going on between Ivy and I, won't I?" she nodded. "She is crazy Kai. She does whatever she wants when she gets the chance."
"I wanted to believe you Devin. I really wanted to believe you. If I hadn't seen that message on your phone, I would've really believed you. I told myself it wasn't true when I heard what you did,"
There's been a plot twist here. Did she see us or she heard it from someone else?
"Who told you about what happened between Ivy and I?" I asked.
"I'm not going to tell you that. I don't want to know what you were doing in that room with her so please stop coming after me. I'm really done with you Devin."
Ha! I knew it. She wasn't there. She didn't see us. Someone informed her about us. Ivy and I were not in a room when we kissed. We were outside in the dark and the shit happened. No one was around. It was just me and her getting in the moment.
"I'll stop coming after you. Can we not ignore each other? I'm still recovering and ignoring me won't be of help. I'll agree to be a friend if that'll be okay with you."
"I don't think Tim will like that idea."
"I wasn't asking for Tim's approval. I asked you." I smiled at her and she nodded her head. "I've a play off tomorrow. Can you come watch me play?"
"I know." she smiled back. I was getting there. I was making an ocean with my drops of water. She went back to Zack's restaurant and I followed her in. Tim pulled her to his side when she entered and I eyed at him.
Carina clearly ignored Zack although she was in his restaurant. She didn't give shit about his thoughts. Zack was standing behind his counter and he was staring hard at her. I stood next to him and watched his exact direction. He'll be loosing it soon.
Josh came in too looking tall and handsome in his sea blue leather jacket with few friends. He fist bumped with Tim and hugged Kai. I couldn't hear what they were talking about but she was blushing and laughing with them. Josh's eyes turned to Carina. She was laughing and acting crazy too with Ivy and Debra. I followed Josh's lips and he asked Tim, "Who's that girl?" I looked at Zack and shrugged my shoulders.
"Carina." Tim called. Zack's unfought battle was lost. Carina excused herself from Ivy and Debra and headed to where they were. Damn! Josh was eye-fucking her and I felt it too. She smiled warmly and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"You lost Zack." I said to him.
"I don't give a fuck Devin. I told you I don't love her. She means nothing to me." I raised my hands up in the air laughing and walked away from him.
I took a seat with Ivy and Debra and her hand was walking on my body. I looked at her and just smiled. She'll do worse if I complain. Kai was watching too. We agreed to be friends but the frown on her face showed otherwise.
