Blank Space-Nine

Doctors attended to Kai and put her in a ward. The doctor wanted to have a word with me in his office so I went with him. He thought I was the one stressing her out. It was that Tim's fault. He treats her like shit. She'll only get hurt if she stays with him. Carina was sitting outside Kai's ward when I got there. She shushed and asked me to keep my voice down.

"Why?" I asked in a low tone.

"Tim is here and their fighting about you. Why did you have to carry her around?"

"What was I supposed to do? She was hurting." she punched me on the arm. I stood outside the door and heard him yelling at her. Can't he do that some other time?

"Tim please, can we take this home?" she asked. Her voice was even husky.

"You've been pushing me to the wall lately Kai. I warned you not to see him, didn't I?"

"You did..."

"Then why are you getting on my nerves? Do you think he'll ran to you like he did if he knows what you've done? Stop being dumb!"

"I get it so please stop yelling."

"You know what, I think I should tell him so he backs off."

"Tim..." Carina looked at me nervously. What were they talking about? "He said he doesn't hate me even after the break up. Let's keep it that way please."

"He'll really hate you for cheating on him and aborting my baby!" he said angrily and Carina covered her mouth. My heart dropped in my stomach and my legs felt weak suddenly.

"You're the fool who keeps going back to him. We've been together for five months now and you still sneak out to see him!" I slammed my hand on my face. What was happening?

"Because I loved him..."

"I really hate to hear you say that. You wouldn't have looked for excuses to break up with him. I'm wondering what you would've done if Ivy didn't tell me what she did with him that night. This should be the last time you see him Kai. We could've kept that child but you insisted. You traded Devin for my child and I won't sit still if you keep doing what I hate. Let me make it clear to you, you owe me Kai." he warned and the room got silent.

My knees had gotten weak. My throat felt dried. My heart raced. Let me get this straight. Kai has been seeing Tim for five months now which means she started fucking him four months ago while I was in a relationship with her. Why... why didn't I ever notice? Why didn't I notice she got pregnant too? When did she get rid of it? It could've been my child too. It has to be my child. I was her boyfriend! I was the one fucking her!

Carina held my arm and helped me sit down. My chest was burning up. Tears pricked my eyes and I held it all back. "Did... did you... know about this?" I asked her.

"I never imagined. I thought they started dating too after the break up. You didnt know she got pregnant?" I shook my head and she sighed heavily. "Whose child was it?"

"It had to be mine."

"Yeah that makes sense. Let's take you home." she smiled at me. My hands were trembling the whole time. Carina took the car keys from me and offered to drive.

Did I trust Kai too much? Why does this hurts all over again! If she was a man, I would've punched her in the face till she dies in my arms. It's really funny how she always accused me of cheating on her but she was the one doing it. That was all a plan to break up with me. She didn't only get rid of me, she got rid of what could be my baby too. She never discussed it with me before she took that decision.
