"So, what happened exactly? I honestly cannot remember for the life of chizz, what happened..." I said and Sterling kissed my forehead again.
"It's nothing darling, don't worry about it." He whispered and I sighed. I guess I would just have to deal with not knowing. No one was going to tell me.
~Six Months Later~
"Come on Benji!" I said and tugged him into the next store.
"NO! NO MORE SHOPPING!"
"It's for the girls! Come on! Tell me you don't want to go shopping for some more little itsy bitsy pink onesie's and booties and T-Shirts that say "Daddy's Little Girl"," I teased.
"Honestly, I don't." He said and looked at me. "I can't afford this Maria, I can't focus on buying baby clothes until I can focus on making sure that I don't have to worry about getting shot on the way to my apartment and leaving the kids on the sidewalk to watch me die." He was actually glaring at me by the time he had finished his abnormally long sentence. "I need to get out of that apartment. I need to get out of that neighbor hood. I need to prepare for the girls. I need to name the girls. I need to do a lot of things and I have enough pink baby clothes to last them! I have better things to spend my money on Maria! It would be nice if the twins had somewhere to SLEEP!" He finished and sucked in a deep breath. I couldn't tell if he was trying to calm himself, or catching up to his lack of breath from the previous two minutes.
"Dude, you do know the twins are gonna' be here in like...three weeks right?" I asked after a long pause.
"Yes, I do, and it scares the crap out of me." He sighed and continued walking. That's when my bright idea hit me. Yay! Imma throw a baby shower for Benji! I wonder if he'll name a baby after me... Okay, so that's two ideas, but still!
