"Allie? Honey? It's time to get up," Remus's soft voice drifted through my fuzzy brain.
I groaned, pulling my blankets over my head.
"We're supposed to pick up Aiden today," He told me.
Aiden Lupin the adopted son of Remus Lupin, I haven't met him yet, as he has been staying at a friends house for a sleepover.
"But it's so early," I whined, blinking up at him with owlish eyes.
"It's also the holiday break at Hogwarts, and Charlie will be there," Remus told me.
My hair tingled, melting into an energetic yellow hue as I lunged out of my bed.
"Woah there," Remus laughed as he caught me before I face-planted.
"I haven't seen Charlie in FOREVER!" I exclaimed happily.
"Why don't we get you dressed, and then we can go," Remus suggested and I nodded frantically.
After bundling up in several layers and eating breakfast, we prepared to floo over to the Weasley's house.
I hate flooing.
I clung to Remus for dear life as he stepped into the emerald green flames, feeling an uncomfortable tug in my gut as we traveled through the fireplace.
I never thought I would ever say that demi-god life might be strange and all, but traveling through fireplaces and flying on broomsticks is a whole other level of strange.
"Allie, honey, we're here," Remus's soft voice broke into my thoughts.
I stretched open my eyes to see a homey looking room, full of various trinkets. Unlike many houses where you can only tell that people live there, it's quite obvious that this house has been lived in. Every nook and cranny was filled with stories and a horde of redheads was sprinkled around the room.
"Remus, it's good to see you," A plump woman said, her eyes crinkling with happiness.
That must be Mrs. Weasley.
"And you as well Molly," Remus responded warmly, as he tried to set me down, "Allie, I can't carry you forever,"
After a few minutes, I allowed myself to be pulled from his lanky frame and set on the ground. However, I still clung to his fingers.
"You must be Alana," Mrs. Weasley greeted me, "I'm Molly Weasley, my Charlie has told me a lot about you,"
I perked up at the name of my rescuer.
"It's nice to meet you," I said shyly, half hiding behind Remus.
"And you as well," Mrs. Weasley told me warmly before turning her attention to Remus, "Arthur has taken Percy and Aiden out, and they seem to be running late, would you like a cup of tea while you wait?"
"I don't want to cause any trouble," My adoptive father said uncertainly.
"Sit! I'll be back with tea in a bit," Mrs. Weasley demanded as she gestured to a worn couch.
"Lana!" A familiar voice called and I turned to see Charlie standing at the bottom of the staircase.
"Charlie!" I exclaimed, unhooking myself from Remus and sprinting over to the familiar red-head.
"How're you doing Squirt," The Hogwarts student said affectionately as he ruffled my blinding yellow hair.
"Good," I said earnestly, "Mr. Remus is really nice and we got ice cream with his sister and her daughter and he tells the best stories," I babbled.
