"I can't believe you're leaving," Freya sobbed as we sat in the great hall, on the last day of the first year.

"And she's not even coming back next year," Sophia, one of Freya's fellow housemates, said sadly.

"Don't remind me Soph," Freya wailed.

"We can still visit each other!" I said soothingly to my best friend.

"But we've been through so much together!" Freya exclaimed, "You can't leave! What if we get another evil teacher!"

I recalled Professor Umbridge's American twin, who conveniently tried to kill me during the Ilvermorny Games.

"I can't wait till Lana leaves!" Mason cheered as he came to sit down for breakfast.

"Mason!" Freya exclaimed, her voice distraught.

"What! The sooner she's gone, the sooner I can get her stupid voice outta my head!" Mason defended himself.

My voice will be in your head for six more years!

I huffed, sending the dark-haired boy the loudest thoughts I could.

Mason winced and I smirked at him.

Cut it out

Make me

"I'm sure we'll be fine," Noah Stone, another one of my friends, said, successfully interrupting our mind battle, "I mean, Lana will probably take all the trouble to Hogwarts with her,"

"With Harry Potter already there, I don't think Hogwarts could handle any more trouble," I said, recalling my brother's tale of Harry Potter and the magical rock.

"What am I supposed to do without my human mood ring!" Freya wailed.

"Merlin Frey," Evan Johnson said as he came up to us, "I'm going to go deaf because of you!"

"I can't believe you're going back to England," Sophia said softly, sadness clouding her eyes.

"I know! It's great!" Mason said happily.

"Mason! Cut it out!" Freya snapped, softly hitting her twin, "We all know you're gonna miss her,"

"No I'm not," Mason said defensively.

"Yeah right Mase, you're as protective with Lana as you are with Freya," Noah said, a smirk twitching on his face.

Before I knew it, I was back in England, excitedly telling Aiden and Remus about my adventures.

Luckily, I was allowed to keep the wand that chose me at Ilvermorny.

"I swear to Merlin your accent is stronger than ever," Aiden groaned at the end of my story.

"You almost died?" Remus asked faintly, his face pale.

"I survived though!" I said hurriedly trying to reassure my guardian.

"That sounds so wicked!" Aiden cheered, but upon seeing his Dad's face he quickly settled down, "I mean how horrible and scary you could've died,"

Remus rolled his eyes at the blonde as he draped his arm around me, pulling me near him.

"I'm so glad you're okay," He murmured into my ear as he pushed my dark hair behind my ears.

"Me too," I said quietly as I leaned into his warm sturdy body, feeling safer than I had in months.

There is a whole lot of emotion coming from you and it needs to stop

Mason's voice burst into my head and I rolled my eyes. Out of all the people Hecate could pick, she had to choose him.

Ouch, that hurts

Go away, Mason! Stop snooping in my life!

Well, it's technically my life too since I'm your lifeline

Don't remind me

I yawned as fatigue began to settle into my bones.

"Why don't you go to bed Al," Aiden told me, "It's like midnight back in America,"

I nodded and sleepily wandered towards my room.

Night Lana

Night Loser

"LANA LANA LANA LANA LANA LANA LANA!" An obnoxious voice rang through my ears as hands shook me awake.

I groaned, turning over in my bed and piling mounds of blankets over my body, praying that if there were enough of them on top of me, Aiden would leave.

He didn't.

"It's time to go to Diagon Alley!" Aiden yelled excitedly into my ear, yanking me out of my bed, "Ana I swear to Merlin if you don't get out of bed right now,"

"Aren't teenagers supposed to want to sleep in?" Remus's sleepy voice drifted into my bedroom, his soft billowy voice mingling with the dappled light that came from my curtains.

"He's too excited to see his boyfriend," I teased the blonde, who gave me a glare.

"He is not my boyfriend!" Aiden squeaked heatedly while Remus and I gave each other knowing looks, "He's NOT!"

Aiden groaned when he saw our faces, his cheeks adopting a dusty pink hue. I felt my long dark waves tingle into a butter yellow shade as I laughed at the young wizard's expense.

"Daaaaad," Aiden whined as his cheeks flushed a brilliant scarlet hue before turning to me a scowl on his face, "Alana Jackson I swear to Merlin,"

"Okay okay, why don't we go down to breakfast, and then we can go to Diagon Alley," Remus told us, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"But, I'm tired," I whined, trying to burrow my way under the covers.

"Lanaaaaaaa," Aiden pouted as he tried to get me out from under the warm covers.

"It's like Five A.M! Go AWAY!"I muttered crossly.

"It's actually one p.m.," Aiden said, waving his arms around.

"It's like five in America," I argued.

"You've been back here for months!" Aiden exclaimed wildly.

"Still not enough time,"

"LANA!"

"Shush, I'm sleeping,"

"LANA JACKSON I SWEAR TO MERLIN!"

"Better give me a dollar in the swear jar,"

"WH-WHAT? WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A SWEAR JAR!!"

"We also don't use dollars here," Remus interjected mildly.
