Searching around for a partner, Hinata feeling herself sinking among the crowds. As her eyes wildly looking around yet not knowing who or what her eyes wanted.. her legs give in, telling her to give up as she drag her feet towards the sofa. Across the room, music has started playing. It was a romantic one... her eyes almost teary, watching the other dance.

Why me..why am I alone... again? Hinata was breaking down. A tear slip down her pale cheeks. When...

You wanna dance or what? Sasuke held out his hand, hoping to save a damsel in distress. Hinata look up, shocked by the sudden gestures. "Come on, don't make me look bad. I wanna dance with you now." With his hand still holding out, Sasuke give Hinata a faint smile. With that, Hinata face lit up, a joyful expression written all over her face. She smiles and take Sasuke by the hand. Like a sheep following its master, Hinata let Sasuke lead her to the dance floor. Guest around them stares as they make their way to the centre of the attention.

Can I have this dance with you, Lady Hinata? Sasuke bows, gesturing his palms towards Hinata.

Hinata was nervous but on top of that, she felt something she never thought could ever exist. You ignited me Sasuke. Thank you for being here with me, even if its just for tonight. Her eyes met Sasuke. Yes you may, Sir Sasuke. Hinata grin from ear to ear.

Their body sway accordingly to the rhythm of the music. Their fingers interlocks, their feeling mutual, deepening with every moment. Savoring every moment like it was their last... they both fall out of space, ignoring all those stares and whispers. As the music coming to an end, Sasuke pulled her close, closing the gap between them, his hand wrapping Hinata securely against his body. In that moment, Hinata could feel her body heating up, her face blush as a rush of heat flaming up to her head.

Hinata... - Sasuke whispers, their forehead touched. As if bewitched by Sasuke charms, no words could escape from her mouth. Tilting his head a little to the left, Sasuke leans in, his gaze on Hinata cherry pink lips...

Sasuke, I-Im sorry. Hinata said as she push herself out of his embrace. When she no longer felt Sasuke touch, that's when reality slowly getting clear. With so much eyes staring at her, she can feel her nerve dropping, her heartbeat pumping faster than ever... Oneesan, oneesan! Are you okey? Arata came to help out her mother. The surrounding gone silent, music stop playing. All attention shifted to them now.  Just as Arata was about the say mother, Sasuke hurriedly cut in.

"Okay, time to go home." He said firmly, scooping up the kid with one hand, while the other grab Hinata hand. Before stepping out of the entrance door, Sasuke turns around thanking Sai and Ino for the lovely party then left. Outside, the stars are incredibly visible tonight. It was beautiful, a clear night sky with countless twinkling star far out of their reach. They walk a slow pace, enjoying the night view, giving Hinata time to calm down. After some time, a voice finally broke the silence. "Sasuke, I'm...I'm really sorry...back there.." says Hinata with an apologetic tone. She wanted to say more but it seems like Sasuke wasn't interested on hearing her out. So they just kept moving till they reach Sasuke front door.

When  Sasuke let Arata down to open the door, his eye catches a letter just below the door. He took it and placed in his pocket. He gestured them to go in while he read the letter. It was an official letter from the Hokage headquarters. Hmph, its about time I given a mission. Sasuke fold back the letter. Before heading up the stairs, Sasuke went to Arata room to check up on them. Inside, Arata had already fallen asleep while Hinata inside the bathroom. Not wanting to cause any more troubles, Sasuke decided to tell her about the letter tomorrow.

TOMORROW MORNING

Tukk tukk tukk. Tukk tuk tukk. Alright,alright, I'm coming. Jeez, it's early morning, this better be important. Hanabi muttered under her breath.

"Oh Kiba-kun. Good morning, why are you here?" Ask Hanabi politely.

"Good morning Hanabi. Is your sister home? This is urgent." Answer Kiba while petting Akamaru.

Hanabi: Well.... Hinata is not here. She's at Sasuke.

Kiba: At Sasuke? Are you sure?

Hanabi: Yeah, I'm positive. You should hurry then if it's an important matter.

Kiba: Thanks Hanabi. Hey, send my regards to your father and Neiji ok. Bye.

Kiba hurriedly wander off the Hyuga residence, jumping from roof to roof. In no time, he reaches Sasuke house. He knock on the door and was soon greeted by Sasuke who's wearing his mission outfit. "Hey Sasuke, so I.. Ahh....I heard Hinata's here?" ask Kiba hesitately.

"Hinata, Kiba is here looking for you." Said Sasuke as he peers inside his house. "I gotta go. You can talk with her outside my house, got it?" Sasuke turn his attention to Kiba as he walk out the front door. Kiba only answer with a nod.

Hinata: Hi Kiba-kun, what's the matter?

Kiba: Well, our team receive a mission from the Hokage. We should meet her this morning. I mean right now.

Hinata: What? Why didn't you tell me last night?

Kiba: I wanted to tell you when the party end but you....

Hinata: O-Oh... yeah.. ok.. Kiba, you guys go ahead. We'll meet outside the headquarters, ok?

Kiba: Sure. Don't be late ok.. take care Hinata.

After bidding goodbye, Kiba took off along with Akamaru and went to meet up with Shino.
