Turn back time (sequel to prophecy love (peter pevensie love story))

Chapter 4

We quickly moved on from the situation and started following peter through the root to the shuttering wood and peter was convinced he knew the quickest way there

"I don't remember this way" Susan commented for the 20th time it felt like and I looked at her

"Susan..." I started but peter cut me off

"That's the problem with you girls, can't get a clear map in your head" peter said jokingly and I smacked him round the back of the head lightly and gave him a look while he laughed and put his hands up in surrender

"That's because our heads have something in them" lucy said and I high fives her because that was a good and quick comeback

"I wish we should have just listened to the DLF in the first place" Susan said to me, lucy and Arabella and we all nodded, agreeing with her

"DLF?" Edmund and Archie asked, not knowing what we were on about. They had become quite good friends on this journey which made me quite happy for Archie because I didn't know how he was going to fit in as they were all older than him except lucy but she stuck with the girls mostly

"Dear little friend" me and Lucy answered at the same time for them and they nodded slightly understanding what it meant

"Oh, well that's not patronising at all is it?" Trumkin asked when he stopped when we said the meaning and I turned around and stuck much tongue out at him playfully and he started to chuckle at me childishness and then we caught up with peter who had been stood on a rock looking around

"I'm not lost" he said more to himself and I stood upon the rock with him and looked around and felt slightly familiar with this place but not completely but I hadn't walked this track for a year as I hadn't come to the yearly walk around mine and peters spots during my thinking stage.

"No, your just going the wrong way" Trumkin said and I rolled my eyes here we go another argument I am already fed up of those arguments already as they're always about the same things, control and leadership and it was getting boring for me now as I a,ways had to be the one to stop it because I knew them both the most to sort it out

"You last saw caspian at the shuttering woods and the quickest way there is to cross at the river rush" peter said, his voice rising with each word 

"Unless I'm mistaken, there are not crossing in these paths and Darcey would know, she goes this way at least once a year when she goes through her thinking stage" Trumkin said and Edmund whispered to me

"What thinking stage?" He asked and I turned my head to the side to look at him

"I'll tell you about it later, I did it while you lot were still here" I said and I saw it click in his head and he nodded and then I saw everyone looking at me, waiting for an answer

"Sorry what? I wasn't listening" I said and peter rolled his eyes and I gave him a look

"Don't roll your eyes at me peter pevensie, your brother was asking me a question and I was answering him because I'm not rude, so don't start on me when I'm being nice" I snapped at him and went to walk toff in the direction he was facing, knowing where I was going and then I got to far enough away and looked back at them all

"Are you all coming or are you just going to stand there all day?" I asked and Archie came over to me and then everyone else started to come over to me and then peter started to walk forward a bit but then turned back around to face trumpkin, the last one to follow us

"Well that explains it then Trumkin, you're mistaken" he said and carried on walking past me and I sighed and walked over to Edmund and Arabella, who were holding hands

"Edmund?" I asked as I watched peter walk away and we were slowly following him who Edmund hummed looking at me for me to carry on

"What made him change?" I asked and indicated towards peter who was looking from tree to tree

"Well, being away from narnia made him angry but being away from you and not being able to see you for a year, well that took a big toll on him. It also didn't help that he's and adult in a child's body, we all are and that takes a toll on you in the real world, you'll understand when you get there" Edmund explained and I looked at him and then back at peter as they were now walking back in front of me

"But you were away from Arabella the exact same amount of time and you haven't changed" I said confused even more at his explanation and he shrugged and looked at peter, who when looked at us we all looked at different things so that he didn't catch on that we was talking about him

"I took it bad, yes but I didn't take it out on anyone else really, unlike peter. He got into a lot of school fights with other boys at our school and I always tried to help him as he felt he was back in battle again and I knew he was missing you but we couldn't let anyone know about narnia or we knew no one would let us back to you but it was so hard for me to keep Arabella a secret and it was hard for peter to keep you a secret but we just about managed it" he explained and I nodded, walking off to catch up with peter and as soon as I did, I intertwined our hands and he looked down at our hands and he smiled brightly at me and I knew that right there was my old peter, the one I fell in love with. We then walked forward and looked all they way down to see that there was in fact, no way down to cross the river rush

"See, when the time came to erode the earths soil.." Susan started but peter soon cut her off as soon as she started talking

"Oh shut up" he said, as I tried not to snort in laughter to piss him off more and Edmund turned around to where Archie was and asked trumpkin, who was by him;

"Is there anyway down?" He asked, trying to keep the hope for peters plan and I saw then how much Edmund had grown into good since the white witch and how he kept the hope there for his family and so that there was no more arguments then there already was. He had matured so much for one year and I was impressed with him.

"Yeah falling" Trumkin said and I gave him a look but he just shrugged, knowing that he was right

"Well we weren't lost" peter said, defending himself and I nodded at him to give him hope that he wasn't wrong, then Trumkin said something and so did Susan but my eyes were trained on peter and I gave him a encouraging smile and he smiled sadly back

"Aslan, Kian?It's Aslan and Kian, it's Aslan and Kian over there!" Lucy exclaimed and I looked over excitedly to see my father again but to sadly see that, where she was pointing, there was nothing there, no Aslan, no Kian

"Don't you see, they're right there" she said as she turned around again to see what we were seeing, nobody there

"Do you see him now?" Trumpkin asked sarcastically and I started to get a bit annoyed but Arabella grabbed my arm and shook her head in a no action so I just sighed and walked off with her closely behind me

"He always has to be sarcastic when my dad or your dad comes into the conversation. We haven't seen them in 250 years, Arabella and I miss them, I really do but that just got my hopes up when there was nothing there, I know lucy wouldn't have done it on purpose but it just got me excited and then I felt disappointed when nothing was there" I ranted to her and she looked at me and just sighed

"I know Darcey but we need to keep this search going and we also need to make sure that none of them get hurt or killed on the way and then hopefully we may be able to have a good life again where we don't need to hide anymore" she said and I nodded slowly and walked back to the group to see them walking away but lucy and Edmund were behind a little and Lucy was looking at where she supposedly saw Aslan and Kian but nothing was still there and I slowly walked up to her and hugged her while she hugged me back

"I'm sorry if I angered you talking about your dad" she said and I shook my head

"No lucy it want you, trumkin was annoying me with all the comments he was making" I said and she nodded, I grabbed her hand and we walked behind the others moving at speed to catch up to the others with Edmund and Arabella behind us
