sooyoung walked her way to yerim's house, surprised by the fact that their houses were very close to each other. she stopped on the curve to notice that she was heading in the right direction and began to walk to yerim's door. before she could arrive, another girl began to walk in the same direction. sooyoung didn't pay much attention to this, as all she was thinking about was meeting yerim. she held the glass container in her palms and began to walk to yerim's house.

she looked at the floor for the majority of the time as she didn't want to accidentally trip on the small holes in the concrete sidewalk. when she saw yerim's house from her view, she finally looked up and accidentally hit a girl at the same time.

"i'm so sorry!" sooyoung apologized to the girl.

the girl turned around, surprised from the impact. "haha it's okay-" she began to say before she realized that sooyoung looked exactly like her.

sooyoung looked at the girl, wondering if she was the sorim that yerim had been talking about. "are you-" she tried to ask as the door opened in front of the two, revealing yerim's mother.

"ah, sorim! you're early, but thanks for offering to help. and," she faced sooyoung and widened her smile, "sooyoung! what brings you here?"

"hello ms. kim! just have fun on your trip," sorim said as she bowed to the woman in front of her.

sooyoung shyly bowed as she directly looked at yerim's mother and showed the glass container in her hands. "i wanted to say thank you for the meat. i brought your container back."

"i'm sorry, but are you two related? are you two twins?" yerim's mother asked.

"no, no! i've never seen her before," sorim replied as she laughed at the question that had been posed.

sooyoung was visibly annoyed with sorim, as they had just met but the girl had already shown signs of ignorance. but, when sorim and ms. kim looked at her, she simply said with a fake smile, "nope. this the first time we've met."

"ah, come in, it's getting cold," ms. kim said as she opened the door, revealing the modern interior of the beautiful house. "well, we're going to go now. sorim, you're in charge and- sooyoung! you can eat whatever you like here. just place the container in the sink. that's all, see you soon!" she lastly said as she left the house with her husband.

"have i seen you before?" sorim asked as sooyoung gently placed the glass container in the sink.

"maybe you've heard about me, but never saw me." sooyoung asked with slight anger in her voice.

"heard? how?" sorim laughed.

"i'm the scholarship student. everyone knows me. i'm also the prettiest girl you'll ever see in your life."

sorim was visibly taken aback my sooyoung's confidence, as she had small confidence to begin with. she was also shocked that the girl in front of her was the scholarship student. everyone had been talking about how smart and beautiful the scholarship student was, making her a legend in school. sorim stood and started laughing from her newly-found discovery of sooyoung.

sorim watched as sooyoung walked towards yerim's room. "yah! that's where yerim stays. do you even know her?"

sooyoung took a quick glance at sorim, scoffing in anger to the latter's question. she then opened the door to reveal yerim crying as she laid down on the bed. "hey, yerim. it's me, sooyoung," she tried to say as she went closer to the girl and sat next to the bed.

"sooyoung unnie? w-what are you doing here?" yerim responded as she wiped her tears eyes in a rush and put her undivided attention to sooyoung.

"i missed you. you know, yesterday," sooyoung said in an attempt to brighten the mood.
