Once outside, I quickly scanned the area to find out where exactly this said event is taking place. I heard rather than saw the collective gasp of fangirls.
"Over there," I said overly excited, a great contrast to Bree's lack of enthusiasm.
"Date me," I heard the new girl state. It sounded like a command rather than a request and it made my blood boil. who does she think she is? No one even knows her name yet.
"I'm sorry Danielle, I don't know you well enough." Tony replied, looking sheepish and very guilty for turning her down.
Okay, perhaps he knows her name. No big deal, its only natural for the guy to at least know the confessor's name. He's just being polite.
"You know me Tony. It's me Elle, remember?" The new girl said with a gentle smile on her face. She looks like the good girl type. The one guys can't help but worship for being a goddess yet won't approach in fear of being unworthy. Good girls are nice and all but really when it comes to romance, boys like them a little bad.
But I know my Tony, he doesn't easily fall for those pretty faces and good girl act, though all his exes were the all face, no substance type. But still, I'm confident this relationship wouldn't last very long. I'd give it two weeks, max.
That's if he even dates her.
"Elle? As in Elle the tomboy? Elle the "I'll never fall for a cry baby?" Tony asked in disbelief though its obvious that he is overjoyed to see a long time friend. I'm guessing they've known each other for a long time, that's what she's insinuating anyways.
The new girl named Danielle nodded her head enthusiastically that made me wish it would fall off her neck. Then everyone gasped once again when Tony reached out to hug her, tightly at that.
"Its so good to see you," he exclaimed while my body burn with jealousy.
"Grrr," I growled catching Bree's attention. I swear if she says I told you so, I wouldn't be held responsible for my actions.
Bree must have sensed my murderous intent as she successfully kept her mouth shut. Now if she would only stop giving me that self satisfied look she has before I felt obligated to wipe it off her face.
Choosing to ignore her, I kept my eyes on Tony and watch him finally let her go and continued to talk to her telling her how good it is to see her, and that she changed so much he almost didn't recognize her. He teased her about her statement when she declared proudly that she would never in her life date him and here she is.
My mood started to lighten up when she said that she didn't really mean to date him or confess to him, it's just her way to shock him and introduce herself to him. He laughed, an expression I don't see very often on his face.
"It's really good to see you," he said again and the pair began to walk away from the scene. I realized that most of the fangirls have gone and dispersed which leaves Bree and I the only ones left standing.
"Ria, here to witness how girls couldn't help but love me?" Tony teased smugly with his perfect face and twinkling eyes that always make me lose my wits.
"I was wondering who is the next victim of your fraud act." I responded when I finally recovered from shock. I turned to the girl and placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Please, for your safety, run." Tony poked my sides, hard that it hurt more than it tickled.
"I'm Victoria by the way, Ria for short." I awkwardly offered my hand to her, I mean do teenagers still shake hands on their first meeting in this day and age?
Graciously, the new girl shook it and smiled brightly. Before she could say her name in return, Tony already launched an introduction and talked about avoiding my clutches instead and how much of a bad influence I am to almost everyone he knows.
I learned that Danielle also happens to be a childhood friend. He used to play with her back in his father's hometown during summers and of course all of that stopped when his parents abandoned him but apparently they sent letters in correspondence to each other that stopped when they entered high school.
They too, have history. I thought as I watch them walking ahead to get to class.
"Ria, we better go. The bell rang two minutes ago and I don't know about you but I don't want to be late for Mr. Reese's class." Bree started to walk away as well while I reluctantly followed her, unable to take my eyes of Tony and the new girl as they walk side by side happily chatting .
It's okay Ria, I'm sure someday, someday, Tony will notice the fact that you're the only one who understands him and been with him, been there for him, since the dawn of time.
"Stupid Tony," I huffed under my breath as I sit in class next to Bree. I totally forgot the fact that the new girl and I have Chemistry together. I never really noticed her, but thanks to the event during lunch break, I keep noticing her from the corner of my eye.
She's not the flashy type. She's pretty, she looks fit as well I'm guessing she plays sports and she doesn't look the type who wears make up. In conclusion, she's plain and definitely not Tony's type. Tony might accept every girl who asks him out but that's because all those girls are his type.
Pretty. Skinny. Flashy. Shallow.
She definitely doesn't fit all that criteria, he would never date her.
