Today I spent Halloween with my room mate Jasmine and our friend, Ashley. Our first stop was Salem's famous witch museum. The three of us took pictures with the statue of Roger Conant, Salem's founder, across the street.

Jasmine Jasdyer went as a prison inmate from Orange is the New Black and Ashley AshleyStLaurent went as a dragon. There's a chapter in my story Travel Log which describes a trip to the Salem Witch Museum, I would check it out. After the museum, we had lunch and eventually made our way to Broad Street Cemetery, a historic cemetery which dates back to the Salem Witch Trials.

After leaving the cemetery, I encountered a freighting ghoul which I quickly despatched with my trusty sword.

On the main stretch of Downtown Salem, there is a store dedicated to Harry Potter memorabilia, and a pitiful selection of Game of Thrones merchandise. Jasmine is a big Harry Potter fan while I'm more of a Game of Thrones girl. The shop sells plush Hedwig owls, which I could resist posing with.

After looking around downtown some more, we had dinner at Wendy's and went to one of our favorite places in the city, Cinema Salem, to watch two documentaries: one called The True 1692 and the other called The History of Halloween. Jasmine wanted to take Ashley to see these documentaries because Ashley knows pitifully little about the history of the Salem Witch Trials and of Salem's place in the history of Halloween. If you get a chance to spend Halloween in Salem MA, I would highly recommend it.
As I am weighing this, Jasmine and I are in our dorm room watching The Amityville Horror.
