I'm sorry for yet another shit post; I promise that I will post an actual chapter soon.
I've been wondering what nationality Percy should be on his mother's side: He's Greek on his father's side obviously since I've established that Poseidon in this version is a Greek immigrant. Anyone have any suggestions?
Some fans headcanon Percy as being Latino, using the evidence that the neighborhood he lives in is part of Spanish Harlem, which has a high Latino population but Jackson is a Hispanic sounding last name. What do you guys think? It's more possible that a Latino family would have a last name like Jackson in the 21st century due to some intermarrying with anglos but it would be less likely in the 1920s.
I was thinking of having the maternal side of Percy's family be Irish since Jackson is a Scots/Irish last name. Sally's family could have been among the thousands of Irish immigrants who came to America during the 19th Century.
Does anyone have another suggestions?
