Chapter 17

Tori’s POV

I felt someone shaking my shoulder. They started off very softly then made their way up to almost pushing. I finally gave up sleeping past this person trying to wake up. I gently opened my eyes and saw it was dark outside. Then I realized we were on an airplane and about to land.

Finally, home at last.

I looked over to see Harry smiling at me. I couldn’t help but smile right back.

Once we landed we gathered our belongings and made our way out of the plane.

This is it. The last goodbye. The last time I will ever see his gorgeous curls and green eyes. The last time I will see his amazing smile and kissable lips for who knows how long.

I went and said my goodbyes to the boys first. I hugged each other and kissed their cheeks. I told them to keep in touch and they promised they will.

Finally the moment I have been dreading to do for a long time. Say goodbye to Harry.

Harry grabbed my hand and led me to a door that said Keep Out on it. He opened the door and pushed me inside, then closed to the door right behind him once he was inside.

“Are you trying to rape me or something Styles?” I joked with him.

“Funny. I just wanted some alone time before I have to leave.” He smiled down at me.

He raised his hand to my cheek and started stroking it gently. “I am so glad I met you. This past month has been one of the best months of my life. I couldn’t of thought of a better girl to spend it with than you.” He looked me directly in the eyes while continuing. “I have something I want to give you.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. It had a cute little ribbon bow on it and was wrapped perfectly.

My eyes went wide as I reached for the box. I ripped the wrapping paper off and tied the ribbon on my wrist. “I love it thank you so much.” I smirked at him.

He laughed. “I’m glad you like it, but there is more inside the box sweetie.”

I giggled as I proceeded opening the box. Inside was the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. It was a diamond-decorated heart surrounded by a trio of round diamonds for lovely sparkle. Additional round diamonds decorate the 10K white gold band and I could probably estimate that it was 1/6-carat total weight. (Picture on side>>>>)

This is the best present ever.

“Oh my god. Harry you really shouldn’t have.” I gasped.

“Yes I should have. You deserve to know that you are beautiful and loved every single day. Inside of the ring I engraved the saying, “You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not.” I did that so you can be reminded that no one is perfect, we all have done things or have had things happen to us that we are not proud of. But just know that I will always be here for you no matter what. You can trust me and any of the other guys with anything.”

By now I had tears dripping down my cheeks. Harry’s fingers kept trying to get rid of the tears, but new ones just kept coming.

That was the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.

I opened my mouth to speak but Harry’s finger shushed me. “I’m not done.”

Oh god there’s more?

I nodded for him to go on.

“The real reason why I am giving this ring to you is to make a few promises to you. A promise that I will be here till the end. I will always be in your life no matter what. I promise to make you feel safe and secure. I promise to keep you away from Tony. And I promise to do this—“ He stopped mid-sentence and crashed his lips against mine. I kissed him back as my tears still dripped from my eyes. He let go and continued. “Until you tell me not to anymore. And finally, I promise to make you feel loved every single day of your life. So with that, Tori?”

I looked up at him and nodded knowing I couldn’t speak after what he just said and did.

“Will you be my girlfriend?”

I smiled the biggest smile I have ever smiled and nodded my head yes. “Yes, of course I will.”

He smiled just as big as mine and lifted me up into the air. He twirled me around and brought me back down to the ground. He then grabbed my right hand and placed the ring on my pointer finger.

He looked up at me when he was done and kissed me lightly on the lips.

“I’m sorry that it took me a long time to ask you. The ring took forever to be made and I wanted everything to be perfect.” He whispered.

“It’s okay. I’m glad you waited. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to be asked.” I whispered back.

I then heard a light knock from the door we came through. “Harry? Tori? You guys we have to go.” It was Louis.

I signed, remembered we had to go our separate ways now. Harry lifted my chin up to look into his eyes. “Just remember my promises. I will be back in your arms in no time. Never give up because I know I won’t.”

“I promise I won’t give up.” He nodded as his lips made their way towards mine once again.

We sat there kissing for what seemed like ages. Neither of us wanted to let go, but the knocking on the door became louder meaning it was really time for him to go. I let go and looked into his eyes. He grabbed my hand and lead me out of the Keep Out room.

Louis and Niall were standing outside of the door and were glad to see us. “Sorry guys but we are going to miss our plane if we don’t leave right now.” Niall spoke.

I nodded while turning towards Harry. The tears in my eyes started to show up again. He wiped them away and gave me a huge hug. He let go when he saw the faces on Niall and Louis. He gave me one last peck on the lips and walked away.

I watched him the whole time walk towards his gate. I watched him give his ticket to the girl. I watched him get his ticket back and make his way towards the entrance to the plane. Just before he entered though, he turned around and made eye contact with me. He blew me a kiss and waved while he waited for the other boys. I waved back trying to look strong. He smiled at me before turning around and walking with the rest of the boys.

I waited till their plane was in the air to make my way towards the luggage claim. My luggage was the only ones there since everyone already got their luggage.

I picked them all up and made my way towards the taxis. Only to be met by someone I hadn’t expected to be there.
