"I'm really glad that you were able to open up to me Felisha, I can't even imagine how that must've been."

"It was terrible, but I still don't need you involved in it. I don't want him to hurt you too."

So all along she ran away to save me? I was always dad's favorite child...he would never hurt me. Felisha just didn't want me to suffer through seeing her like that.

"I can imagine that it was awful. You're 21 now right?"

Wow...I've lost a lot of childhood with this girl.

"Yep, as soon as Grace brought me home that day, I started working in the barns and helping Alanna with cooking. Now I just do whatever needs to be done."

"Felisha. We're gonna do something okay?"

Gosh dang it, I guess I'm opening up to her since she's family. I don't really know why I'm so close to her so quickly, but she needs help.

"Alright. What is it?"

"Okay first of all you've gotta change that outfit..its scaring me to death!"

"Alrighty."

Felisha walks into her closet and come back out two minutes later wearing denim shorts with a brown belt and a hot pink tank top.

"Okay! That's much better! This next thing is gonna be a little bit harder."

Ughhhh....why do I open up to her and involve myself with her emotions?

"Glad ya like it! Okay, what is it?"

I take a deep breath and look her in the eyes.

"You need to give me everything and anything you have that can be used to hurt yourself."

Felisha looks at me with a puzzled expression on her face, but sighs and goes to the table beside her bed.

"I guess you're right. It's time I cut this shit out."

She grabs a couple of knives and some other pointy metal objects that I can't quite identify and hands them to me. I set them on the floor beside my feet and look at her.

"Is there anymore?"

"Yeah."

She walks over to her dresser and pulls out three more knives and puts them at my feet and looks up at me.

"Empty them out of the closet if there's any."

She sighs and tromps over to her closet and takes out two guns and five more knives and she sits on the edge of her bed.

"Is that all Felisha?"

"Yeah. That's the last of em.....what are you gonna do with them?"

"Like I'd tell you. "

I stick out my tongue at Felisha and go in my room and grab a bag that is big enough to fit a couple of guns in. I then load up the bag with all the weapons and make my way downstairs. I slip on my flip flops and stand outside on the porch. I walk down the porch steps and pass Travis on my way.

"Hey there baby girl. Where ya goin?"

Baby girl? I think I might've just died a little. Gosh darn this boy is amazing.

"Ummmmmm is there a spot where Felisha doesn't go?"

Travis thinks for a moment then smiles at me.

"Yeah! Follow me...I have a feeling you need to hide whatever's in that bag?"

"You got it. Did you know about Felisha and her....."

"Cutting? Depression? Yeah she told us about it a couple months after she got here."

"Oh alrighty well in that case...I have all her weapons she used and I need to hide them from her."

"How'd you get her to give those up?"

"We just talked for a little bit, I think it might've been a relief to her."

Travis starts to make his way down the path that goes to the barn and I follow him.

"Where we goin?!"

"To my truck sweety pie. You're awful hyper, I like that. It's cute."

Travis winks at me and we get to his truck. He hops in the drivers seat, and I take shotgun.

"So....where's this hidden spot of yours?"

"That's a secret my little cowgirl, you're just gonna have to wait and see."

I thought I was going to hate everything here, but I gotta say, Travis calling me all these cute nicknames....now that I don't hate. I turn the radio on and a country song comes blasting through the speakers and Travis and I laugh.

"So your music fits your look I see...country boy equals country music."

"Sure does Hay lay! Do you like country music?"

"Nah. I'm more of a rap girl."

"Oh we gonna change that baby doll. Before you leave here, you'll be singin along to every country song on the radio."

"Well...I kinda doubt that. You can try to change me though!"

"I think you're easier to change than ya look cutie."

We drive down the path for about ten more minutes, then he stops in front of an old shack type building and stops the truck and gets out. I sit there and stare at the shack and eventually get out. Travis walks around the truck and takes my bag full of Felisha's weapons and starts walking towards the shack.

"What is this place Travis?"
