"Sweetheart!" Jasmines adoptive father yelled
"Yeah, Charlie?" The brunette called back, she knew he wanted her to call him dad but through the 3 years of living with him, she's never felt comfortable with doing so
"I'm uh, going to pick up Bella, are you okay alone?" he questioned
"I'm fine! go!" she yelled
She heard the door open then close, after a moment she heard the car start and then she knew she was alone.
She liked being alone, not because of her hating everyone, nor was it her social anxiety which seemed to play a big part in school
but instead, she liked it because it was quiet.
She's always liked the quiet, her parents before they died, never really accepted her and the house would be filled with shouts and screams on a daily basis
But Charlie, he didn't understand why she is how she is, but he never judged her
Not even after she came out and became the freak of the school
She sat in silence, just thinking, when she heard the door open
"Jasmine! come meet Bella!" Her guardian yelled
Bella was utterly confused
who was Jasmine?
Before Bella could ask, a young girl, 5ft 4, walked down the stairs a soft smile on her face
"Hi.." she mumbled softly
"Hey." Bella said, quite awkwardly
"Jasmine is a girl I took in a few years ago." Charlie briefly explained
"Charlie, is it okay if I walk to school?" She questioned
"Yeah, uh sure." He said in response
The girl quickly grabbed her school bag, her phone and left the door
It wasn't strange for her to be walking alone, her only friend would have to be Alice Cullen and even then, she barely talked to the girl, wanting to save the embarrassment for Alice's reputation
Jasmine was an outcast.
She sighed as she remembered that Billy Black was going to be giving Bella a truck, a home-coming present
Jasmine, of course, didn't care as she loved walking but she couldn't help but feel upset that Bella got one and she didn't
But she knew better than to expect things from anyone.
After what felt like 3 minutes but in reality was 10, she arrived at school the same time Bella did.
It was her first day so she decided to wait for her by the door
"Hey." she said softly once Bella reached her
"Should I be nervous?" Bella asked her... sister?
