Brooklyn's POV

I gently put my phone back on the nightstand before laying back on my bed and curled up a bit. My phone kept buzzing, but I ignored it. I just wanted it to stop. But it didn't. My phone just kept on buzzing, and buzzing and buzzing to the point where it fell off the nightstand. It kept buzzing of course.

But the sound soon drowned out by Nick as he came out of the bathroom and walked over to the bed as he said, "Nothing like a hot shower after a two show day, and tomorrow's our day off so that means hello sleep, my old friend." when Nick finished talking my phone of course buzzed. "Why is your phone on the floor. And why is it buzzing like crazy? Aren't you going to pick it off of the floor before it breaks or something?" Nick asked. I sighed before picking it off of the floor. That's when I saw the what was on the screen and I lost it right then and there.

"Is everything alright lil sis?" Nick asked.

"Fine, everything is just peachy," I replied quietly as I wiping away my tears.

"You're not fine," Nick said seriously. When I didn't answer him he took my phone and before I could stop him it was too late.

"Who's been sending you these messages on Instagram?" He asked.

"I don't know," I replied quietly as I looked down at my hands. "It's nothing to worry about."

"Nothing!" He exclaimed. "How can you call this nothing?! This "nothing" is called cyber bullying Brooklyn." After Nick took a few moments to calm down he asked, "How long?"

"A few days," I whispered.

"And you didn't tell me?" I could hear how hurt he was over the fact I didn't tell him.

"There was nothing to tell." That's when I felt Nick grab my hand and looked over my arm before checking the other one. "What're you doing?!" I asked while pulling away.

"Making sure you didn't do anything to yourself," he replied before grabbing my pill bottle and shook it a few times. "Sounds about right. Ok now that I know you didn't do anything to yourself talk to me."

"Goodnight," I said before turning on my stomach and put my face in the pillow to hide the tears that I couldn't hold back anymore.

"Brooklyn, ignore it. The haters are gonna hate, and there's not much you can do about it. So just"

"I swear if you say "shake it off" I'm never talking to you again."

"The Brooklyn I know would never pass up the opportunity to quote a Taylor Swift song," Nick said in a matter of fact tone. I didn't reply. I didn't do anything. I only laid there on my bed. I know I'm probably acting like a little kid and may look stupid. But this, this is just. Sometimes I wonder what's the point of me being here.

That's when I felt Nick lie down in the bed and pulled me close. I turned around to face him. But I didn't look him in the eyes. I did however burry my face in his chest because I didn't want Nick of all people to see me like this.

"You're an amazing, talented, smart, funny, and beautiful girl Brook. Remember that," Nick whispered.

"You're only saying that cause you're my twin," I mumbled quietly.

"Well, that and because it's the truth," he replied. "Just ignore the haters."

"Easy for you to say," I mumbled. "You're not the one living in a shadow." it then hit me what I just said. I promised myself I would never tell anyone that. But of course I had to go and open my big mouth. Can this night get any worse?

"You're not living in,"

"Yes I am!" I cut him off. "I love you and all but sometimes it's really hard being your twin sometimes. In high school, nobody knew my name and just called me "Nick's little sister"."
