It's Complicated

Back to school

I had a really fun weekend, but now it's time to go back to school. I wake up from a nightmare and I hug my pillow tighter. My eyes pop open and I look around my room. I sit up slowly and stretch when I check my clock as it shows 6:30. I groan and get out of bed going to my closet. I pick out some sweats and a cute t-shirt. I then go to the bathroom, pick my makeup bag up, look at it, and set it back down picking up a hair tie. I throw my long hair into a messy bun and go downstairs to be greeted by no one. I pop an Eggo into the toaster and start my coffee. I hear the Eggo pop out of the toaster and go over to it. I grab it and juggle the hot waffle in my hands then throw it onto a plate. I then hear the coffee maker beep and I take the mug out from the maker. I grab the creamer and put it in the coffee then stir while I'm yawning a big yawn. I take my coffee and my Eggo and go to grab my keys.

I'm on my way to the school when I take the last bite of my Eggo and take a huge sip of my coffee. I look down at my phone after it dings and see a text from Josh. I try my best to ignore it and keep my eyes on the road until I get to a red light. Unfortunately I get all the way to the school before I can check it. I park my car and sit there for a while looking at my phone. I try to move my arm, but it doesn't move. I finally get my arm to move and grab my phone off of the charger. I quickly open up my phone and get a text from Josh saying,

Good morning beautiful ❤️😘

I smile and reply back saying,

Good morning handsome 😍

I put my phone into my sweat pant pocket and open the door of my truck. It squeaks on its hinges as I hop out into the snow. Oh shit. I didn't know it snowed. I look down at my feet in my Converse and sigh as I slam my door and walk to the back door to get my backpack out of  the car. I grab it and throw it over one of my shoulders as I start to walk to the building.

~3 hours later~

It's lunch time and I'm still tired. I'm walking to the commons as I feel this huge brush come across my waist and turn me around. I look up and I'm greeted by the best person in the entire world. Josh. He embraces me in a huge hug and says,

"I'm gonna take you to lunch today. What's you're 8th period?"

"Dance and fitness with my best friend!" I say to him with a smile on my face."

"Well, we might miss it just to let ya know" He says with a wink.
