"Our castle would crumble before us but that doesn't mean it can't be rebuilt, rebuilt for real, this time without errors and a little more caution."

Maria's POV
It took a while for them to rebuild the nursery, two mouths to be exact. Dylan had them enlarge it so that there where more room for the children. We moved back in a week after they were done. Things seem to go back to the way they were, Dylan went back to working out of his office. Bridget and the other staff took care of the house. And the girls and I spent a lot of time outdoors in the garden. We always had guards around us no matter where we went even if we went to the toilet one was there. When I complained to Dylan about this he told me that I would just have to get used to it.
It was Friday, and I stood at the edge of the garden. I wear a blue sundress and nothing eales. I wanted so bad to go running it felt like I hadn't in a long time. The wind was so light that it felt like a kiss as it touched my face. The dirt beneath my feet was cool to the touch and the sun warm on my skin.
"Whatever you're thinking don't" Dylan's voice cuts into my thoughts
"I want to go running," I tell him
"I know you do but it's too dangerous"
I turn to him "I can't breathe, I need out Dylan please"
"Take Marco with you, and stay close to the village," he tells me
I feel a tear fall as I hug him "Thank you"
I rush in finding Marco, and then I am running in the woods. The wind like fingers in my fur, the sound of water beating against the bank hits my eyes. I feel Marco not far behind me, and the sound of other creatures in the woods. It feels good to be free, to be me to feel the sand beneath my paws.
A sound up ahead has me coming to a stop, Marco comes up beside me.
"I think we should turn back" he minds links me
"What do you think it is," I ask
"I don't know, but there's only two of us, there might be more of them we should go"
I take a step forward toward the nose
"Luna" Marco calls me
I turn to follow behind him back to the Alpha house. I wasn't ready to go back but I knew he was right there could have been more of them and then we would have been in trouble. I walk slowly looking behind me from time to time. I feel Marco glace back at me once in a while. When we get to the house I shift into human pulling on the sundress that I left laying on a tree.
"Thank you, Marco," I tell him as he pulls his own pants on
He gives me a smile "Anytime Luna"
"Are you going to tell Dylan about the intruders?" I ask as we walk toward the house
"Yes"
I nod "Maybe next time we won't be so rushed," I said hopefully
He smiles again "Maybe not"
