Mall meltdown

This chapter jumps around alot but please stick with it...

Laurence's POV:

Garroth and I had to head out to the mall for alot of different reasons but all I'll say is that there was alot to be done. He thought it would be a good idea for us to split up and meet up at the water fountain in an hour. Despite me not wanting to leaving him alone I went along with it just to make him happy.

I bought all of the things that I needed to get as well as a few surprises for Garroth (he thinks I forgot about his birthday next week) and started to head back towards our meeting point.

Garroth's POV:

I'd wrapped everything up pretty quickly. I know what I want/need and were to find it. Now all I had to do was wait here for him to come back.

"Garroth?" A quiet and familiar voice asked.

I turnered to see a pale skinned girl with long chesnut hair and big box glasses. Her name was Kim, the same girl from the other day in the cafe.

"Oh hiya Kim. What are you doing here?" I asked, pretending to have more confidence then I currently had,

"Well I was looking for you." She replied hesitently, "Zane told me that you were coming here today."

"Ah, so are you finnaly taking up my offer to give you a make-over?" I smiled.

She shook her head slowly, looking down at the ground and playing with her light green sweater's sleves.

"I came to tell you that, well, I like you!" She blushed, looking into my eyes.

Laurence's POV:

The oncoming crowed parted ways, reviling the large stone water fountain. I smiled and walked around the side of it before stopping dead in my tracks.

Garroth was talking to my old school friend Kim.

She wove her hands into his, stood up on her toes... and KiSsEd HiM.

There was a seering burn in my chest that I knew all too well. I'd suffered through this pain for neerly a year. I knew what was happening, my shadowknightis was kicking in.

I quickly sprinted down the mall's hall, looking for a place to hide. Finding a gap between stores, I squinked my eyes incase they'd changed colours like usuall.

'All I need to do is wait 'till I calm down.' I thought, sliding onto the floor.

WhAt ArE yOu DoInG?! sHe KiSsEd HiM, sHe'S sTeAlInG hIm FrOm YoU!

N-no! It's not true. Kim doesn't know about how I feel, it's not her fault.

I never told her. Or any one for that matter. I should be happy for her; finnaly getting enough courage to ask someone out.

SiGh. Oh LaUrEnCe. wHy ReSiSt? wHy HoLd Us BaCk WhEn-

"Is someone down there?" A voice called,

"Well no, Duh! There's obviously down there Bea. Listen, you take Star and I'll deal with this." Travis insisted.

I assume that Katelyn and her baby left.

"Hey there Buddy!" Travis greeted, neeling down beside me.

"Hi Travis." I replied taking his back a little.

I looked up at him, my heart sinking lower, a dull red light reflected on his surprised expression.

"L-Laurence?" He breathed, "What happened to you?"
