It was a scorching Saturday morning and I woke to the ear piercing drill sounds from my phone. I struggled to get up, thinking about Ed. His innocent smile as he waved me goodbye to me, last night. We walked through the blank blustery pavements surrounded with fields. We were in our own little world, lost in our conversations. I picked the phone, seeing messages from Ed. I opened his last message which said:
To Leanna:
Morning :) Just wanted to ask you if your free today, to just meet up at Cafe Nero?
From Your Ed.
Ok so firstly, I was freaking out. 'Meet up' totally means 'a date' and 'Your Ed' was way too charming. I didn't know what to wear, I was totally thrilled! I took control of my jubilant mood, then answered him back quickly.
To Ed:
Sure, that's great! :)
From Leanna.
I don't know, I felt it was too soon to put 'Your Leanna' in. But it's an incredible thing that he did. I crawled out my bed, and then folded the extra blankets away. I really hope Ed got the message, I was getting impatient. Just to make myself certain of it, I checked through my messages again. And there it is:
To Leanna:
That's awesome, thanks so much! So just meet me there at 1:45pm, I'll already be inside. See you soon :)
From Ed.
I took a sigh of relief and happiness, then looked over to the time. It was 1:15pm! And not enough of time to get ready for a date! Oh no, it's going to be a disaster. If I don't look to my best, I WILL regret it. I quickly ran to bathroom, brushed my teeth; leaving it a minty goodness, then popped in the shower.
I came with a runny nose because of the cold water. And that's because the day I had something so essential, that very day the boiler broke down. This was so not the perfect day. Forgetting about this irrelevant incident, I jogged to my closet and picked a black crop top with ripped shorts. I put them on, and ran to my hidden dressing room. I opened my makeup bag, my makeup scattered everywhere. I squished a blob of foundation, and smeared it everywhere. While doing so, I looked over to the time, seeing it was 1:30pm! I rushed, putting a dab of blush and a smudge of gloss.
I ran out the room, taking my studded bag and putting on my shiny shoes on. Fiddling with my bag I ran downstairs, seeing a note on the fridge, saying:
To Leanna:
Morning hunny! Breakfast is in the oven, and I'll be coming home late; because Peter is taking me out :) Take care babe.
From Mum Xx
I smiled and then thought of Ed. I had a date as well and I should hurry. I quickly took the car keys from the hooks, then slammed the door shut. The sound of my car never gets old. I backed the car out the car park; then flew out the main gates. The wind was nice, but a bit too windy. It was because of my speed, which I was going a bit too fast. The time was 1:40pm and I parked my car, outside Cafe Nero. I rushed out, getting my bag stuck between the car seat and the brake. I sighed then slowly tried to slither my skinny fingers between the gap, then pulled it out. But as I just left I realized my stripy neon pink scarf, was lying by the brakes. I picked it up and wrapped it around my neck. I thought it would be a perfect thing to put on with such a dark outfit.
I casually walked in, seeing my tangerine headed romeo sitting by the window. I smiled and so did he. "Hey," I said as I sat down, putting my bag on my lap. "Hey," He said smiling and staring. "Umm, what is it? Is there something on my face?" I said, my fingers running through with my bag, looking for a mirror. "No, no your gorgeous." He said with no frustration, his cheeks slowly turning rosy. I just loved his time to time compliments, it was just too adorable to ignore. "Thank you, but I had barely enough time to do make up and find the perfect outfit." I said very bothered. "No, its just fine." He said. We stared and stared at each other, until a waitress came over. "So have you guys decided what to eat, or will you guys carry on staring at each other?" She said looking at us both, laughing. "Oh! Sorry..umm its nothing..so what would you like Leanna?" Ed said surprised and trying quickly to change the subject. "Yeah umm, an apple tart with custard and a black coffee please," I said smiling at her. "And I'll have a Fondant Fancy with an iced coffee please," He said. "Great, I'll be back until then carry on with your staring!" She said giggling as she walked off.
"So, you like black?" He said giggling. "Yeah, a lot really." I said looking down. "That's great, but the bright pink scarf compliments you really well!" He said. "Oh thank you! And your hooded shirt is looking pretty awesome, I've got to say." I said giggling. "Well thank you, I try." He said laughing.
Ed's POV
She was so delicate. I just never ever seen a such a beauty in my life. I sometimes don't believe that she is my very close friend. She is so different but she seemed really mysterious, like she was hiding something, something really top secret. I like her for her. Her liking towards to the colour black and black coffee, that was her. I couldn't change that, I just love her so much, since the day I first laid eyes on her. That sunny bright Monday morning, an angel appeared. I could still savour her fragrance, that sweet watermelon scent. But my only fear was, did she like me? I really hope she does, because I've always loved her since that day.
Leanna's POV
His smile melted me more and more every time. He was smooth and stylish. I loved him so much, but if I express my feelings will he? I'm always thinking it's fate, we met. I have never met a guy like him, so understanding and filled with so much humor. His angelic smile is the most lovely thing about him. Plus, his compliments are just inexplicable. Its so smoothly done, and he always ends up making my blush.
