Chapter 8: Part 1

It took few hours to get to the airport, but we were nearly there. I'm gonna miss this place, the bright side is that I was born here, I went to my very first school here. I passed my license here. I will miss this place but all the negativity here; is now driving me away. I don't care, I shouldn't care, I've done absolute nothing wrong. I am the right one here, I am just happy we are finally leaving this hell. I'm just so excited to meet new friends and actually have some friends this time! And like mum said "a huge house surrounded by evergreen fields." "Leanna are you alright? Feeling excited?" Mum said looking at me. "Duh mum, its a new start!" I said smiling. "Well said darling, and it finally looks good you smiling, you should do that more often!" Mum said giggling. I giggled along with her, and day dreamed outside.

"Honey, honey we are here!" Mum called to me. "Oh sorry Mum, must've dozed off while I was day dreaming!" I said checking my makeup. She chuckled. "You look beautiful and now we've got to go, its 2:45am!" Mum said checking the time. "Ok, lets go!" I said sounding thrilled, and getting out of the taxi.

I walked in and saw millions of people getting ready to go, and sitting by the side shops, waiting! The fresh aroma of Starbuck's bakery was really testing my taste buds. "Mum, so where do we have to go?" "Well, firstly we need to go to do our security check up, right around this corner." Mum said as she walked around to find the check up scan. I followed, and this guy winked at me. I completely ignored it even though it was hard, I wasn't looking for love. I crawled next to mum, clenching her arm not looking around. I was next in queue. I felt a bit scared because I was imagining if I had anything inappropriate with me; I felt a bit insecure. A fat, poised lady took me in the tent. "Arms up." She said very glum. She literally touched me everywhere. It was kind of disgusting and awkward at same the time. "Your clear." She said giving me an awkward smile. I came out with a loud sign. "You alright?" Mum asked. "Yeah I'm good, just a bit awkward in there." She giggled. "Come on now, we've got to go to our waiting stop," Mum said looking at the time.
