I'm chasing Felix, but I didn't want to, I have no control over my body. I was trying to warn Rogue and Felix it wasn't me going after them, it was my wolf. However my voice died before anything could be said.
Rogue was getting tired I could tell he was. I know I'm right when he tosses Felix aside and turns to look right at me. To my surprise my wolf slows, sliding onto Rogue. I'm worried, I look down to see if he's okay. All I have time to see is Rogue's body shrink into itself, he looks as if he's choking on oil, a dark wave of black energy enveloping him.
My body is thrown away from him, by force. My wolf had jumped violently away from Rogue. On the way back we tripped, falling to the ground, I felt fear seeping out of my body. Something terrible was happening.
My paws cover my head and I tuck myself into a ball. A piercing noise is heard and a shock wave wash over me. My wolf stands up shaking out his fur. The sene laid in front of me is shocking.
It looks as if a bomb had gone off. I was now laying in the middle of a deep crater about the size of the clearing we had tumbled into. And stood barely ten feet in front of me was a wolf, I think is Rogue.
It has fur the color of midnight black, there are glowing maroon scratch like stripes along its back. Yet that wasn't the worst part. Traveling up its neck the fur becomes thicker and just before the head it stops. And in place of the fur, it seems as if bone has been fused into the skin. Deep maroon glowing orbs shines from the sockets, smoke billowing from its open mouth.
A growl with the pitch of a howl and base vibrate through me. My wolf stands up and growls back, we're going to fight.
Rogue's sentiant form and I charged, his distorted snarl rang in my ears. We clashed and he went for any vital spots that he could reach while my wolf tried to overwhelm him. I was panicking and tried to get control, clawing for anything that would make us stop but couldn't do anything.
I'm crying, I'm so scared. Knowing it's Rogue I don't want to hurt him. I scream when I hear a strangled yelp from the other beast. My wolf had found an opening under his shoulder, he had his claws deep in the flesh.
That's when I heard it, a small whine barely audible. STRONG EMOTION! That's how I get through. I try again, chanaling all the emotional baggage I know I have, but it's not working. I wasn't getting through to my wolf. He continues to pull at the flesh his claws are sunk into. The only reason Im not in melt down more was the fact that Rogue was healing so fast. The only blood was on my paws.
Rogue's fighting style was that of a rabid beast. Nothing was planned or even half thought out, like he was filled and blinded by rage. It was confusing, to both me and my wolf. Rogue seemed like a completely different animal, not the logical, calculating person I had grown up with.
I had to find a way to stop this. I focused all my thought and energy into pushing my words out. I could feel the build up of energy in my throat. And finally I got through, it wasn't quite what I hoped for but I did it.
A gargled help fell past my lips. Rogue's wolf's ears perked up, he'd heard me. He froze and cocked his head, confused. Less aggressive, he stalked over to me and warily started sniffing me. Not knowing what to do, my wolf froze, tense and ready to jump at a moment's notice.
If I could sigh in relief I would have, then my wolf started sniffing back. A warning growl hung in the air, it was my choice to do it, Im slowly gaining contole of my wolf. I took a step back. With full control of my wolf's movements I got cocky and was going to talk, buy it didn't work out and all that came out was a deep bark-like sound.
He fliched and jumped, surprised. His boney skull distorted into a snarl and he snapped at me. I took a submissive stance and whined apologeticly, there is no way I'm letting that shit happen again. Begrudgingly I lower my body to the ground showing him I mean no harm.
Again, Rogue's wolf seemed torn between conflicted and confused. He kinda just stood there and backed up a bit.
He sat down and tilted his head to the side. A deep rumble exploded from his throat, the noise confusion Rogue's Wolf, my wolf and myself. I think he's trying to communicate with me but I don't understand it. Though my wolf does as he instantly perked up, his ears turn to Rogue and he dances on his paws, excitement showing by the glow in his chest.
Realization washed over Rogue's Wolf's face and he rolled over onto his back in a friendly, playful manner. It seemed the two recognized each other.
